Teavana Youthberry tea replacement???

Hey everyone!!! I am in love with Youthberry tea from Teavana! It’s been discontinued at Starbucks locations and I live in Canada so there are no more physical stores open! D: I’m hoping somebody knows of a tea that is the same or similar to Youthberry that is readily available! Thanks a lot!!!

I don’t really remember that tea, but at the David’s Teas in the local mall (ironically about a two minute walk from the Teavana) they had a list of equivalent teas. For example, if you like youthberry from Teavana buy this tea from David’s. Hope that helps.

I see you live in Canada. Are there any Teavana stores there? I would find an open store. And if you don’t mind making an international phone call, ask them for a list of ingredients. Then try to find something similar.

I do live in Canada! But all of the independent Teavana stores have shut down. I have a list of ingredients, I was just wondering if anybody already knew about existing teas that might be similar, that way my searching would be a lot easier! lol

The Starbucks website describes it as: An Infusion Of Water, White Tea, Candied Mango Pieces, Candied Pineapple Pieces, Rose Hip Peels, Apple Slices, Hibiscus Flowers, Red Currants, Rose Petals, Açaí Fruit Powder.

Sounds like you could find some fairly similar teas in profile, at least with the white tea, mango, pineapple, and hibiscus flower.

Hopefully! If it comes down to it I could always try to recreate it myself by buying separate ingredients.

It’s not a perfect match, but if you’re located near a DAVIDsTEA you might want to try out a small sample/tester pouch of Mango Madness – it’s a white tea with mango, pineapple, and orange so it’ll have some similar notes to the ones in Youthberry. The main difference will be the lack of “red fruit” notes from the currant, acai, and hibiscus.

(In the interest of full discretion I am currently employed by DAVIDsTEA)

Oooh is there another tea with currents or acai I could mix with it??

Perhaps Bear Trap? It’s a herbal tea with a couple of berries in it as well as currant and hibiscus.

I don’t recall the blend in question very well but the ingredients listed above remind me of a tea I received over Christmas. I don’t recall the youthberry one being floral though and the one I have is, not sure if that makes it a no go for ya!

Indigobloom I will definitely try it out! It seems quite similar! Thanks!

No problem! Also check out Riston, I have one from them that is similar, albeit super old. oh!! I seem to recall someone mentioning a similar blend at Janet’s once, although it might be discontinued. http://www.janetsspecialteas.com/

I found a fairly close match, ingredient wise, here: http://www.deesteaco.com/our-teas/

The White Acai blend there uses mango and pineapple rather than candied versions, and acai fruit rather than acai fruit powder, and has all the rest of the ingredients aside from missing the hibiscus and rose petals, but I’d bet those would be easier things to blend in if they make or break the overall taste. May be worth a try?

OH! Thank you!!! I will definitely try this one!!! I can probably get hibiscus and rose petals at a bulk store somewhere.

Stash tea has several similar tea bag and loose leaf options.

fusion red, white and blueberry tea
acai berry tea
ruby papaya tea
goji berry green tea
yumberry tea
pomegranate teas
black currant teas etc.

Hope this helps!

Thanks! I’ve never looked too far into Stash teas but I will now! :)

This thread just popped up on the tea Reddit for a Starbucks drink that a barista made that is apparently a pretty good flavor match. Give it a read, may be worth a try: https://www.reddit.com/r/tea/comments/7nprsj/good_news_for_teavana_youthberry_lovers/

Hey! I appreciate this link although I live in Canada and we don’t carry the strawberry acai refresher unfortunately… thanks though!

Is it still made and carried in the stores that are open? If so, have someone pick some up and mail it to you.

Yeah actually, my familt made plans for us to go to Portland in Fenruary, so I’m going to get some then! :)

Looks like there is a bunch listed on Ebay too!

Yeah! Maybe as a last resort; the store is selling it 75% off so it’ll be cheaper than the enay listings.
