Sushi Green Tea

Does anyone know what type of green tea is typically served at good sushi restaurants in the states? Does it tend to be a sencha, gyokuro or does it vary? I

It’s called Konacha… it’s usually very cheap:

It usually comes from sencha… but you can find it from gyokuro as well.

You can read more about it there…

Are you thinking of the toasty rice green tea? If so it’s called genmaicha an it’s my ALL TIME FAVE! Is this it:

Thanks guys, I think it’s the Konacha just because it tastes almost like a sencha. I have some genmaicha from adagio in my tea cabinet, Faith. I like to drink it when I’m not feeling well, because I find it to be soothing.
