I used to drink Celestial Seasonings fruity teas when I was really young… usually at a tea party with my stuffed rabbits. :)

It got into loose leaf through Adagio’s IngenuiTea herbal sampler gift set, and it took me awhile to get into drinking black tea hot… but, I am oh-so-glad I did.

There was this powdered chai at this gourmet kitchen store. It’s not even really tea. But when the chai craze started I was already past the chai and onto bigger and better things. I still love chai, but now it’s not in the form of an instant powdered mix.

The very first tea that hooked me on tea was when I was a child, my mother made an “instant” tea mixture for me and my brothers. She called it “Rushin’ Tea” (because we could make it in a hurry LOL), and it was a mixture of instant tea, Tang and crushed cloves. I fell in love with that smell, and was hooked on tea from that point on…especially orange spice teas! lol

I know that I’ve told stories about finding out I liked ‘tea’ when I was younger. I really started with just drinking mint tea. My first real tea that I started to love was the Starbucks chai latte. It’s been all down hill from there!

I have always drunk tea and it is always green tea. Can’t recall what name or brand so long as it is hot with steam coming out of the cup. Tea for me has always been about warmth and comfort.

That being said: Of late my tea consumption is nearing madness; so something has made me to drink more but cannot figure it out. It is still store brand green tea; consume it like water or that phrase going out of style and yeah that Pekoe is next in line for disappearing in household as well.

Well, I drank Lipton or Luzianne (iced) teas with dinner growing up as far back as I can remember.

But my very first hot tea was a bagged green that my mom picked up at Epcot in Disney world, of all places. There was a huge box of it and I would have it after dinner with honey as my “dessert” for months. I was so sad when it ran out!
