Georgian tea bought in Moscow

I recently visited Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Murmansk, above the Arctic Circle) and am sharing a post reviewing two Georgian black teas I bought in Moscow. I’ve posted notices in different places, actually, maybe a bit overexcited to share experiences in this case.

Per discussions of a type-typical profile only one of these may be standard for there, and I think they were both upper medium quality teas, not the best versions. Related to Russia it was insanely cool to visit there. Seeing the Northern Lights was amazing, as were the buildings and metro in Moscow, Red Square (I saw Lenin!), and a space museum, and also the streets of St. Petersburg, and a circus and ballet there. The Arctic was amazing beyond the auroras, the four hour days, reindeer sleigh ride, husky dogsled, and the generally trippy frozen tundra look. Russians are different, a bit somber but nice. One following link reviews a tea, and the second includes travel themes and pictures with more about shops there:

That sounds like an amazing trip!

It was really something. I wrote another post about a Laos Tea tasting there in Moscow since but really seeing all those sights and just being in Russia were the cool parts, and it was interesting meeting Russians. I can see where some of the negative stereotypes might come from (they’re more likely to be gangsters, or a bit surly), but my experiences with people there were almost all very positive.

I don’t know anything about Russians but there are two Ukranian sailors on my dock and their chatter lends color to your story. I should have thought to ask them if they have any tea on board! Haha!
