Is this a good deal?
So teaopia is having a 1 day sale; matcha set with their superior matcha for $50 and their matcha set with pinnacle matcha for $60. Is this still overpriced or is it worth it? Any response is appreciated sale ends tonight so I have to make a decision quickly.

I know the matcha whisk is $20… the whisk holder is $10. Not sure about the bowl but let’s say $15(it’s probably more!). The spoon is $5. That alone is $50.
The Superior Matcha is $28
Too rich for my blood at the moment, but I’d love to be able to buy this deal!
I haven’t seen a Matcha bowl for $15, the cheaper ones are $20-$25. If you can get a whisk holder for $10, that’s a good deal!
is it? Hmm! that’s how much they are at a shop I know… when they’re in stock. No wonder they sell out!
Matcha is quality and is expensive. While it is nice to have the right tools, however one can get by using a spoon for whisk in the figure 8 as depicted to achieving the right Matcha texture/richness.
If you have the money buy it. Sale seem to have ended anyhow. Lateness in all things.
Thanks for the input. I ended up buying the matcha set wet with the pinnacle matcha. Not a bad deal cost $60 but no tax or shipping charges so it’s actually not too bad. I can’t wait to try the matcha.
I think that sounds like a great deal. It’s awfully hard to find all the accessories cheaply, and you got them for what $30? Enjoy!
Thanks Jessie, actually it’s even a better deal than that because the matcha pinnacle at teaopia is $38 regular. Now only thing left is to buy a sifter and thermometer.
For a sifter, you don’t need anything fancy. I use a small wire mesh sieve that I purchased at my local grocery store for a buck or two. It is small enough to fit onto the rim of my matcha bowl and so it works perfectly to aerate the matcha.

I chose the small sieve with the finest mesh, but, it looked pretty standard compared to what else was available. The goal with sifting is to aerate the matcha, so, a standard mesh works well for this. If you want a finer mesh you can also just use one of your tea strainers, if you have one. This is what I used before I found my sieve, I prefer my sieve because it fits so nicely on the rim of my chawan. But a tea strainer would also work quite well.
