If you could only have ONE tea for the rest of your life ....

I’m too new to loose leaf tea drinking to commit to anything, but so far I think Dragonwell green tea fits the bill. I can imagine myself getting tired of a flavored tea and wanting a new flavor, but dragonwell would be a basic, reliable, soothing tea to look forward to again and again. So far. ;-)

I love this – not only does it give a really good baseline on what to try out it shows our thought process in selecting. I like how Daniel put it – boring but dependable for a Ceylon, and how it brings up the reminiscence of LiberTEAS lost love of Sweet Caramel ’O Mine. Some wonderful selections and examples of really great teas! My choice may change as I try more, but for me, Genmatcha is like food almost. I suppose if I were stuck on an island I would like having some sustenance, however maybe if I could only have one tea for the rest of my life I would want the Silver Needle, more cleansing. Then again water may be hard to come by on an island and Silver Needle would be better than Genmatcha. I have no idea how I got stuck on this island idea, that was not in the original post. lol
Ninavampi does have a point though – the sweet tooth does need satisfied but then again I suppose I could get that from the actual source.
So many ways to look at it.
Maybe the right question is to ask what makes us love a specific tea. Is it the thoughts it provokes? The memories? The base flavor itself?
Right now I am having a LOVELY tea from English Tea Store – ICED – and the weather is getting hot out, TODAY, this may have to be my ONE tea for the rest of my life lol.

I love my jasmine teas and I really enjoy Harney and Sons Jasmine Tea. I also love Rishi’s Ancient Emerald Lily and making my own matcha lattes (which is the only tea I can get my husband to drink). But in the end it was a jasmine tea that started this journey for me, it’s still my go-to, and it has a permanent spot on my shelves. So if only one tea for the rest of my life, I would go with Jasmine tea and probably from Harney and Sons.
