Steepster Select #009 Giveaway
Bear Trap and Lime Gelato (both from DavidsTea) cold-brewed are my current favourites! I haven’t done much experimentation though, I must admit.
Lately, it has been Lemon Lime Kanpai from Teavana because I got it in that end-of-year sale and it is SO WEIRD. It’s rather off-putting hot, but I’ve been making it cold with lemon and lime juice added and it’s pretty refreshing.
I will move on to an actual favourite as soon as I clear it out!
Fruity greens and whites. Green oolongs and snow dragon from SpecialTeas are also amazing cold brewed.
Right now, I’ve been liking fruit teas for it, so either Mahamosa Cherry Kiwi Coconut or Teavivre Waterlilies Fruit tea.
I love cold brewing tea! I usually mix my own blends. I love fruity blends, such as those teas that have hibiscus in there (ones that I can’t bear to think about drinking hot). My favorite has to be a mix of Adagio’s peppermint, a dash of Adagio’s lemon grass, and a random green tea, generally a sencha. So delicious! If I want it non-caffeinated, I’ll use rooibos instead.
My favorite teas to cold brews are Earl Greys, jasmine greens, and fruity blacks. Often a combination of all three!
I am inspired by http://www.marthastewart.com/875706/white-nixon-cocktails in March issue of MS Living. Blend of a white tea with herbs including lavender, add grapefruit juice, ginger liquor and vodka. I would make the tea into ice cubes as well and probably find a cheaper white tea than the Bellocq and probably skip the alcohol. So maybe not the same but at least I’ll drink it then.
