International Tea Companies are confusing.
Sometimes they make two slightly different teas, and sell them under the same name in different countries. Sometimes they sell the same tea with slightly different names. And sometimes they combine both …
I’m not sure if this https://shop.tgtea.com/Assam-Ananda-Second-Flush-00148-100/4950/ and this https://www.teegschwendner.de/tee-shop/assam-ananda-second-flush?c=198 are the same tea, or different but similar blends – but leaning towards the second, since the American version doesn’t seem to be Organic. Anyone have an idea ?
Tea Gschwendner is a Germaan company but they ship from the US. They have several US stores. They are quite good but I have not tried that tea.
Yes, I was. And I think I’ll just go ahead and add a new entry for the german(european? not sure if there are even more separate companies for other countries besides Germany and the US, let alone whether or not they would also have their own versions)version, since they don’t seem to be actually identical.
With the info presented on the two sites, they seem like the same tea. Same grade (TGFOP1), potentially same flush (the German site does not mention Second Flush), same Assam estate – Ananda. Just priced differently for the German and US markets.
