"Other Teas You Have Rated" when tea logging / rating

So when you rate a tea – the rating line – slidy scale thingy – why does it show some of the previous teas you have rated and not others? What decides which ones it shows us?
Thanks!

I think it’s designed to pick the most recent teas, like the last 5 to 7 that you’ve rated.

It doesn’t always seem to have my most recent on there though, and sometimes the most recent aren’t terribly useful… haha. I usually actually go to my ‘tea ratings’ page and look at all the ratings there and tweak them every 5-10 teas I rate. I sometimes forget what my ratings scale is like and rate things improperly according to it.

I think what it does is pick sort of a range of teas you’ve rated, relatively randomly. So mine pretty much always has “Orchid Tea” from Teaopia on there, because that is my highest-rating tea so far, plus one of my lowest-rated teas, plus a couple more in the middle-ish which are clearly just random.

I think the idea is just to help give you a sense of where the numbers are on the scale. I mean, you noticed that if you hover over the tea ratings, it shows you the number of your rating? Yeah.

Ah yes indeed and that theory does make the most sense – sorry everyone else. lol

I was recently wondering where the ‘selection’ came from. Makes sense now, I wish I could see the actual number, even though I have a general idea using the scale I feel like I start rating some tea thinking ‘This is amazing!’ or ‘This is awful’ but I feel like I will give that extra point that will make better than/worse than another I’ve tried randomly.
