I have not yet figured out how I am going to hide ALL THIS from my Dad.
I am thinking of saying I am going on a new diet called the
Red Leaf Tea Matcha Diet
Mmmm….wondering how much trouble I am going to be in and
how much of the refrigerator and freezer will be dedicated to my matcha…lol…
Looks like quite the order.
You could hide it at my house… Lol… Just kidding. I just had to throw that in there. I’m guessing that it wouldn’t be safe here, it might disappear.
I’ve decided to try a few more of their freebie sample orders before I place an order to see if/what I think we might enjoy. The cheesecake was just ok, but we’ve only tried it once and it got to frothy for us in the blender as a smoothie.
I have found I love them all more as cold lattes with milk save the EG and I prefer it hot and classic. I love the cheescake frothed with whole milk…very decadent and def not low cal that way, but seriously yummy.
I do mine as a cold latte but with 2% milk. Soooo goooooood that way. Maybe I should try it in whole milk?
The whole milk makes it MUCH creamier…JMHO…
however, it does add a few calories…lol…
Please come to my home one evening and we will make “dinner”
By sampling several flavors ;-/ …(raising and lowering eyebrows with a sinister smirk)
Some of it is just finding your preferences for each flavor.
Such as some samples taste good prepared classicly, and hot or cold latte,
While other flavors (such as Earl Gray) are more finicky and prefer classic only
on my table, or in the case of cheescake Cold Latte with whole milk…
you must first decide which method of preparation suits each flavor ~ For YOU
Sil… I think she was responding to me. CelebriTEA and I live pretty close together.
haha i am easily confused…. out of order replies make it easy for me to get lost in the kerfuffle lol
lol…I am sorry…not sure how I got out of order…oops…I see where your part of this thread got hi-jacked…sorry .
my favorite Assam was back in stock, but only on website. i just had to have it back in my life. also they have 15% off going on right now.
Tippy Yunnan – loose tea sample
Nahorhabi Assam Full Leaf tin
Bourbon Smoked Sugar
Bohea – loose tea sample
Keemun Mao Feng – loose tea sample
Ever since ifjuly mentioned it in her notes I just had to have it. I have to admit I placed an order because of Nahorhabi. They told me they are not gonna source it this season. And it could taste different anyway. Each season is unique.
I understand totally. That’s why I bought another 2012 Wild Monk Sheng cake! :)
TeaPet I still want to go. I got Nahorhabi because they don’t have it in SOHO store, only web. I need to get some tea I ran out of. Only 2 oz;)
Stephanie, I love Wild Monk, I have very little left of 1st cake. So I got another one before its too late
Thanks a lot, Whispering Pines. Because of your 20% off offer, I just got way too much tea. :P Here’s what I got from them:
Ailaoshan Black Tea
Bi Luo Chun Yunnan Black Tea
Huang Zhi Xiang Phoenix Mountain Oolong
They all sound SOOO good.
I went ahead and placed an order with David’s. I’ve been wanting to, and finally talked myself into it.
Quangzhou Milk Oolong (I had a milk oolong recently from a TTB and wow, I loved it. This one is flavored, but I thought I would try it to see if it was as good.)
Blueberry Jam (someone or two that I follow had this recently and it sounded good. Really good.)
Sweet Dreams (because I’ve used up most of my nighttime teas and this one sounds nice)
Ice Blue Carry Mug (THIS! This is the real reason I placed this order in the first place. The rest was to fuel my tea addictions and get free shipping.)
Free shipping is always a plus! I would rather have more tea than pay shipping if I’m that close :)
Yep, free shipping was definitely a good call on this one, and it sounds like I picked out some good teas to pull it off.
I’ve been considering the carry mug as well. I talked to keychange about hers and I think I may eventually order one myself, I would love to see some different colors first though. Right now I’m venturing into more cold steeped teas and using my Tervis that I picked up after Christmas for iced teas. Just getting warm enough to enjoy iced tea today :).
I love cold steeped tea. It’s so easy. Just throw it in the fridge and enjoy later. The first few times I tried it was actually in my thermos travel mug.
I have lots of Mason jars laying around because we can tomatoes in the summer.. Perfect to throw in the fridge and then filter the leaves out later. I can steep a couple of different flavors at a time. Hubby usually grabs one on the way out to work and drinks it throughout the day.
I also took advantage of the 20% off coupon to place my first Whispering Pines order. I think I went overboard… my fiance is going to give me the stink eye.
What I ordered:
Traditional Masala Chai
I was all over the map with my choices, but I’m pretty excited!
I placed an order with Verdant Tea after days of fighting the urge to pre-order. I lost. Their black teas are just too good. 1oz each of Yu Lu Yan Cha, LB, and Zhu Rong. (Along with an ounce of chai spice!) These quantities might go up after I pay bills this month HA. I have so little self control. ):
And after talking with my husband, he really wanted to try one of Butiki Teas hop teas. So I got to place another tea order today.
Peach HoppiTea (for my husband)
Lemon French Macaron (because I’m dying to try this one. Sounds soooo good.)
Root Beer Float (everyone’s reviews of this are making me curious)
Blackberry Lime Guayusa (this one just sounds like a great combo)
I need to sipdown a few teas so I can put in another butiki order… That blackberry lime guayusa sounds wonderful. And I need an endless supply of stacy’s pistachio ice cream tea.
oh shoot! That was the other tea I was going to add to the order. Grrrr. Well, there is always next time.
The Peach HoppiTea is seriously delicious. I bought 2oz of it and I’d only ever tried a small sample of it. XD
You can try emailing Stacy and see if she’d be able to add that tea you forgot to add your order? She’s pretty awesome about stuff like that.
Oh! I love peach tea…I wonder if it is too late to get a sample of this
I thought about asking Stacy about including these teas, but I have two orders of tea coming, plus my Amoda box should be here soon, and a couple of traveling tea boxes….. I think I’ll be okay. (And if I really like my teas, or the samples, or my husband loves the Peach HoppiTea as much as I hope he does, I can place another order. Heck, if he likes the tea, maybe I can get him to pay for it. Hehehehe.)
And a cheap bohea style tea from a new shop though I will still probably buy more from another shop where the owner producer answered my questions with honesty and clarity.
Still contemplating more rizhao green which is my favourite right now.
let us know your experience with this tea seller. the price is very good and it looks gorgeous
I’ll let you know if it comes in as promised! I’ve bought from them before. They used to be named Chinese tea distributor on aliexpress and are linked to a company that has been in business since 1984. Their taobao site is here, but the aliexpress site has some extra teas on it. http://shop.m.taobao.com/shop/shopIndex.htm?spm=0.0.0.0&shop_id=34752020
I bought three teas from them before. They were all fresh and were of the quality promised. I received them quickly. He’s sending me samples of other teas to try as well.
