Finished Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep a bit back. Now on The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Yes, I am way behind. What I find fascinating is how many of you have read or are reading Game of Thrones. Guess that will have to be next.

I read the Millenium Trilogy for the first time a few months back. I really enjoyed those books, I hope you do too!

Thanks!

Great reading list! I loved the Millennium Trilogy and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep!

Now I am trudging through Game of Thrones… So far good but not my favorite.

A really good trilogy. I like the first movies with subtitles but haven’t been able to bring myself to watch the english stuff yet.

I just finished The Sisters Brothers by Patrick DeWitt – it was an short, fun read – perfect for summer. I am now reading The Tiger’s Wife… I am half way through and I am not really enjoying it that much. Looking forward to moving on to something else… Maybe Wolff Hall as others have mentioned (thanks!).

Wasn’t that a fun read?! I am in no way a fan of westerns, but I found myself laughing out loud at parts of that book!

The Outsider by Camus

JasonCT said

Oooo Camus is a personal fav! Have you read any of his other works?

Uniquity said

I read that one for a class in university and sadly did not enjoy it at all. : ( I hope you far better!

I read The Plague and loved it. Also read Myth of Sisyphus by Camus for a class but didn’t enjoy it much. I think sometimes that’s the nature of reading a book for a class though. I usually enjoy books more when I get to read them on my own terms.

Luckily reading books for classes didn’t bother me, but it did sometimes force me to read ones I wouldn’t have even started otherwise. Usually that was for the best, but sometimes I just couldn’t get into the book.

They always just end up being a hassle for me when I have other projects to do so I find them hard to enjoy, even if I do like them.

I’m using Mosby’s Medical Dictionary on my kobo to look up stuff for my homework. It’s a better than Merriam Webster which looks like someone just scanned it in instead of properly formatting it. The Mosby’s is easy to read and really easy to find what I’m looking for! :D

Reading Artemis Fowl: the lost colony while drinking some Birthday Cake by David’s tea. It’s not my birthday but I’m going to drink it anyway!

Coworker loaned me The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. A dog narrator with a human who races NASCAR. Not something I would ever pick up on my own, but it hooked me after the first couple chapters.

that sounds really interesting! I’m a sucker for a good dog book :D

It has a “Marley and Me” feel to it.
