I am reading Prince Lestat but it’s been ages since I’ve read the vampire novels. A bit hard to get into right away.

I just finished both books of the Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss, I read them back to back they just dragged me in so strongly. I think I’m going to be reading A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M. MIller next, I just started it and it’s phenominal.

I just finished the Harry Potter play. Interesting, but not as well-done as the novels.

Keep in mind it wasn’t written by JK Rowling. They just used her name on the cover. Some of the characters were out of character if you know what I mean.

Just finished A Question of Honor; it’s the third or fourth in a series by Charles Todd featuring Bess Crawford, WWI Nursing Sister and sleuth. For Downton/Maisie Dobbs/Anne Perry fans, this is a good author choice.

(Matter of fact, next one on the pile is by the same author; called The Walnut Tree and is a stand-alone Christmas story from the same erea.)

Was also handed a copy of Monument Men by a friend…know I’m a little late to the party on this one, but stuck my nose in it for a preview yesterday and didn’t surface for 100 pages.

Reading Louise Erdrich’s novel Love Medicine. Interesting to read reservation-based writings while vacationing in the stolen lands of Hawaii. Love her books!

Juggling to many books as usual:

Acceleration by Graham McNamee (Though seriously considering ditching.)
Liesl & Po by Lauren Oliver
Low Town by Daniel Polansky
The Book of Story Beginnings by Kristin Kladstrup
Half Moon Investigations by Eoin Colfer (Doubtful I will continue this series, though I really like the Artemis Fowl series.)
Strong Medicine by Arthur Hailey
A Christmas Story by Caseen Gaines (Behind the scenes facts, a few Wil Wheaton writings, etc.)
Shard’s and Ashes-anthology featuring dystopian short stories by various authors, some well known, others not so much.
Tiger’s Quest by Colleen Houck (Debated whether or not I wanted to read more in the series, due to there being a love triangle, which I hate. But I really liked the 1st book so I decided to give the 2nd one a chance.
A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab
Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson.

Starting two new ones. Devil in the White City and Day by Day Armageddon (which I think I may have read in the past)

What did you think of Devil in the White City? I liked it, though didn’t get to finish it due to it was due back to the library.

It was okay. Quite honestly, I skipped a few of the chapters about the architecture. Not my favorite but I liked being introduced to Holmes and the history behind that story.
