Best Indian Teas

Can anyone recommend a tea company that sells high-quality Indian teas? Thanks in advance!

Give Upton Tea imports a shot. They have a lot of selection, and I hear a lot of people talk about their darjeeling.

teaemporium.net. Tea emporium is located in darjeeling and their selection of Darjeeling teas is excellent. The owner is a second or third generation tea buyer in the area. I’m not sure if he’s still offering discounts on first flush teas but he was doing so a couple of weeks ago. The absolute best cup of tea I have ever had came from him. It was Puttabong Queen first flush just after processing. If you buy in volume he will likely give you a ten or fifteen percent discount.

I just got some darjeeling from Upton that rock so far.

for everyday use Harney’s tea Assam http://www.harney.com/Details.cfm?ProdID=3769&category=0&secondary=872 – this tea is such a great bridge from drinking coffee or if you need a strong cup in the mornings.

Lochan Teas is by far the best in my opinion. :)

If you can find it, Glenburn is fantastic. They do Darjeelings and Assams.

I’m seconding Rachel’s recommendation for Lochan Teas. Their teas are probably hands down some of the best plain Indian and Sri Lankan black teas I’ve ever had. And since they mostly carry only the current season’s tea you know it’s fresh too!
