Adagio Tea and sugar

Hello

Does anyone know if there is sugar pre-added to their teas? Am wondering what ‘natural xxxx flavours’ in their white/green tea+fruit blends are – apparently they are very cagey about telling people.

Regards

I think that most flavored teas have some sugar, I am always afraid of the “chocolate and blueberry and strawberry and mocha morning black tea surprise” … just tea, please!!

And…. I do not like that they are cagey about sharing nutrition facts!

Surprised the ingredients are so vague…

Their tea is sugar free:
“Our tea is sugar free, gluten free, and in most cases contains zero calories (as long as you don’t add milk and sugar). It’s quite good for you too! See our health benefits page for details.”

Thank you Michelle – I wonder why they are so cagey on their packets? Makes the cynic in me scream about there being a conspiracy!

I personally just think it’s that they don’t want people recreating their blends. A lot of companies just say “Natural Flavoring.” On the David’s Tea website, they have a note about “natural v. artificial flavoring” (http://www.davidstea.com/health-faq), and I sort of assume it’s the same deal with Adagio. I dunno, maybe I’m not being conscientious, but as long as it tastes good I’ll drink it.

I think a lot of tea companies just say “natural flavors” on the packaging. Some will tell you “natural pineapple and grapefruit flavoring” and whatnot, but I don’t think they are obligated to list WHAT flavors. just if they are natural or artificial. I’m going to assume it’s not “natural bug butt juice” or something weird, they probably just want to protect their recipes. It’d be nice if companies could be 100% open with customers, but it seems like this is a case of “we don’t want to share every detail of our recipes and/or we don’t want our packaging labels to go on forever”

lol @ bug butt juice!

Haha, bug butt juice.

Not gonna lie, if it wasn’t dangerous and made the tea taste good, I’d drink it.
