Bodum Espresso Cups?

Does anyone have experience with these http://www.amazon.com/Bodum-2-5-Ounce-Double-Wall-Glasses-Espresso/dp/B000A5CLG6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1342494031&sr=8-2&keywords=bodum+espresso when it comes to brewing tea? I think the size is perfect for gongfu cha, but I am curious as to how well these hold heat? I love the presentation. Bodum also make these http://www.amazon.com/Bodum-Double-Wall-Insulated-Espresso-4-7-Ounce/dp/B005OQW4Q8/ref=sr_1_7?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1342494176&sr=1-7&keywords=bodum+glasses which are the exact size of my Yixing pot. How are these for tea???

I absolutely love them! I have not found anything that works quite as well to hold heat and still be cool to touch.

Thanks thats the other thing I was worried about, whether they would be too hot to hold. Which one do you have

I have two of the 2.5 ounce, your first link i believe. They are great cups and Ninavampi is right, they dont get hot at all! It has to do with the double walled aspect, but also with the air pressure control hole they have in the bottom of the cup. The hole is sealed watertight so dont worry about washing it washing off.

Bottom line, those cups make great tea cups and really show off the color of your tea!

I’m a big fan of Bodum double-walled glassware. Make no mistake, they can be fragile. This is not tempered glass. But they are exquisite and their thermal qualities are wonderful. They never get uncomfortable to hold.

I tend to go big when I drink tea, so I have, sorry had, a set of two 16oz. mugs. I took one out of the dishwasher, which I was using it as a drying rack, and just ever so lightly tapped it on the edge of the counter pulling it out. Buh-bye. I still enjoy the one I have left…

I really prefer brewing in glassware, and as such have gone through dark days of much breakage. I think I’m on my 4th (?) double wall glass tumbler. Knock on wood, there’s been a lull lately. I just ordered a set of 10 oz. mugs from Amazon, as I found I’m just not really filling the bigger one.

Let us know if you get any and what you think.
