Ingenuitea and cleaning

i like my ingenuitea pot, but am noticing a lot of crud under the mesh after dishwashering it as per instructionsand no apparent way to disassemble – it’s gross…..does anyone have the inside track on this?

TIA

Thanks Darby

I got medieval on it and pulled the base off, which let me drain out the crud…..it all seems to ge back together, but only a test steep will tell!

The mesh thing should pop out. I didn’t think ours did at first, but some magical combination of begging, pleading, and cajoling convinced it otherwise.

Yeah, the mesh should pop it (though it does feel a bit delicate). I just pull the plastic part that sticks up on mine and it pops out easily, just make sure you push it all the way back on when you’re done! I ended up with some very leafy tea once.

Does it pop out? I thought it depended on how old the model was.

I ordered mine pretty recently, sometime in the spring I think.

I pulled the base out rather than the mesh…..it still seems functional, no scalds or skin gafts at this point!
