Let me know if any of this doesn’t work for you, or you want to back out. Sil and Indigobloom, also let me know if you want to switch order but you guys are totally welcome to “exchange” in person and split the shipping like mentioned somewhere in this thread.

Other bits: Keep the weight below 700g, that includes everything. In the US, that’s 24 oz but it shouldn’t be a big deal with it only being here at the start.

I have most everyone’s addresses still, send me a message if yours changed since last time. If I don’t have it, I have a note to get it from you. This box will move slower than B but that’s okay.

Please try to keep the box no longer than a week – week and a half. I know last time I went with 3 days where the post office is open but things get busy and I realize it is pretty overwhelming to get this box…as always though if something comes up where it’ll take longer, let me know.

I would like to steal the idea from the other box currently happening of indicating in here what you took out and added, just so we at least still have that in case of the loss of a box. I still want to have the notebook because as you guys will see, it is absolutely awesome to see everyone’s messages and what not.

When you’re ready to send it on to the next person, either message me for their address or if you’re following each other, go ahead and do so directly if you would like. Be sure to post here when you receive it and when it’s back on its way so I can update here with its progress!

Sorry, that part got deleted when I was trying to edit the shipping thing. It’d be open to everyone, but give me a couple min to rewrite it!

I think that it’s a great idea. It would give us a chance to try new teas. I’m not sure if I would do be able to it if I have to ship internationally. That tends to become pricey and I’m not sure that I could afford it.

momo said

I’m certain we’ll have enough people to the point that international shipping will be able to be avoided for most people. For example I figure it can go through Canada entirely so only a few people who are willing to ship internationally will do so.

I would be very interested.
It might be good to add:
Try to make effort to add as many items as you take. At least don’t take 5 items and only replace with 1. Be fair and remember you would not want to receive an almost empty box.

momo said

Of course. Once we’ve actually got a group I’ll send everyone a message about that to make sure the point gets across again and repeatedly!

Excellent suggestion!

I definitely agree! We want to have the best experience that we possibly can by being fair and honest with each other.

I think that there was a traveling tea box here some time ago… and some problems were encountered … here’s a link to the thread connected to it: http://steepster.com/discuss/563-traveling-tea-box-number-2

and another thread: http://steepster.com/discuss/102-travelling-teabox

and another thread … this was the one I was looking for originally, there were some problems concerning the box, it somehow disappeared between stops: http://steepster.com/discuss/212-travelling-teabox-on-the-way-round-1

I figure problems are unavoidable, but I’m not going to let that stop me at least. I was thinking of adding that you should actively be using Steepster but I don’t know if that’s enough to make it less likely that problems come from users rather than postal services at all.

I agree with you completely … I just wanted to let you know that issues do arise. :) Stuff happens. No getting around it… but, even after the disaster was encountered, a second box was dispatched and I think everyone ended up getting to enjoy a box! So it ended good!

USPS has already made me familiar with their ability to lose boxes, which amazes me to no end. I know we can overcome them!

OMG – and it’s not just USPS … I had the biggest problem with customs in France when I was selling Kitchen Fairies (a long time ago) … frustrating! The customs even made off with like FIVE of the fairies that I had sent!
