Your Favourite Tea Subscriptions

I’ve had tea subscriptions from Yunnan Sourcing, Tea Frog & White2Tea. Yunnan Sourcing had the most versatile one which many choices of which tea type to get and it was easy to cancel. The White2Tea one I shared with another Steepster member but I found with all of them I would start to accumulate teas that were not my favourites. It’s a great way for a beginner to see where their taste lie and very exciting to automatically get your surprise teas every month. Because I know exactly what kind of teas I like these days it’s very unlikely I would ever sign up for another subscription. I would have to only be bi-monthly, only 1 or 2 teas sent at a time with those teas being very good or high end teas, teas only in small quantities, and teas based on what flavours I love in teas. For example I once went into a tea store and the lady tried to sell me some black teas. I told her I never drank black teas and didn’t like black teas. She asked what flavours I liked in teas and I told her. She gave me the most amazing black tea that I loved. Ever since I have searched out black teas that have those flavours and have a few in my cabinet.

@Teapro,

Did you try any subscriptions services yourself before starting yours?

Hi Roswell, yes we tried Sipsby from US and a few UK subscriptions. All of them were quite nice in their own way, however I always felt like I wouldn’t learn anything new about tea after finishing it. It was more about trying random teas here and there. I’m the kind of person who likes structure. I want to feel like I become more tea savvy after every box and not more confused with it’s sheer variety.
In my view, none of the tea subscription we tried offered that kind of service, that’s why we started our own (also, because we’re obsessed with tea…)

I have never tried a tea subscription. I have way too much tea and the same problem you mentioned – almost a hundred teas here at the house but I just placed an order for my faves that were out/low and will be placing another order soon for the fresh greens. I woukd possibly consider a subscription if amounts and price were low.

Hey steepster friends!
Hope you’re having a lovely week so far.
Just thought I’d give you a little update on our tea subscription :-) We’ve received some amazing reviews for our first May box, which makes me so happy!
Now our Teapro journey is on month 2 with the “White Gold” tea box, featuring 4 most exquisite loose leaf white teas: Silver Needle, White Peony, Shou Mei and Jasmine Dragon Pearl.

White tea is the least processed and therefore the most healthy camellia sinensis tea type, as it retains the most antioxidants.

You can read about its benefits here: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/white-tea-benefits

If you’ve never tried white teas, I promise you won’t be disappointed!
Since all of you guys have been so supportive and helpful, I thought I’d create a special discount code for you: steepster20teapro
https://www.teapro.co.uk/
You’ll also get a FREE infuser glass with your first box, so you can watch your gorgeous tea steep.

If you’d like to find out more about the box, feel free to check out this unboxing video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xA3a5FSfNH0&t=60s

I have always relied on ordering samples and then going back and purchasing more of what I liked. However, I just this month started a subscription to white2tea to test the waters. Whether I will stick with it is unknown at this time. My hope is that I receive samples of their teas with possibly a discount to purchase cakes at a discount.
