Zenjala 40% off
I saw on Facebook today Zenjala has a 40% off sale going on. They have a code listed on the FB page. I tried 6 of their teas and liked them all. Nothing in this for me, just thought I’d share.
Thanks, ordered some Ti Kuan Yin, pur-erh, and white monkey :)
Pretty cheap with 40% off
do a lot of the pictures on the site not show up for anyone else?
also curious about ‘yerba mate’ – does it give you energy? how would you compare the energy vs tea,coffee,energydrink..ect? and where does the energy come from/is there side effects(ie: caffeine/heartproblems)? also curious about the taste.
edit: few mins later the pics show up just fine for me . , damned technology
I’ve been drinking yerba mate for about 5 years, it got me through some long days of school then work! Yes there is caffeine, so if you are sensitive to caffeine stay away. However, it does have theobromine (like chocolate) and theanine (like tea) which help counteract some of the effects of the caffeine. I definitely don’t feel the jolt that coffee gives me, but rather I feel very alert and focused. It does keep you up. The taste really depends if it is roasted or not. A roasted yerba mate has a very smokey flavor and an unroasted yerba mate is very green. Either way if you use boiling water it goes bitter though.
I just looked on their site, they have the green yerba mate, which is very grassy, think on the lines of the grassyness of a dragonwell but MUCH stronger. You are in the most literal sense drinking the leaves of a plant. Personally I love it.
I mean it in a good way. If the grassyness turns you off, try Guayaki Yerba Mate, is smokey
unfortunately i dislike both of those flavors :( , dont drink green teas or lapsang souchung.
This may be confusing but I don’t like green teas or lapsang souching…but I like Mate. I prefer roasted mate to green, but both are okay. That said, I drink them in flavoured blends, typically from Davids Tea but Fusion Teas also does good flavoured ones. As for caffeine, I can’t say anything as caffeine has no disccernible effect on me, regardless of the source. Guayusa is another interesting drink if you’re looking for a (theoretically) energy boosting beverage.
Ahh! The last thing I need is another tea order…but 40% is so tempting! Any idea when this expires?
