I entered three:
A Saffron Sesame Blend with Green Tea
An Elderflower White Tea Blend
And
An Elderberry Black Currant Blend with a caramelized sugar or brown sugar backdrop, but just a tad of that not to make it too sweet tasting,
Then Fig, Orange, Clove, and Cinnamon.

Sesame with green tea sounds amazing! And the black currant blend sounds like the tea version of mead on a winter night. You’re so creative!

^Both of you are very creative!

I must admit, that sesame/saffron tea really has my attention.

We received a lot of very creative blends! I’m really excited about this contest. I have no idea how the judges are going to be able to choose only 10. There is a good possibility that a few of the ideas that don’t end up winning will pop up later.

Thank you BlueKittyMeow! :) And I love Mead!!!

The sesame blend does sound delicious!

These are the ideas I entered:

Tropical Movie Night – Tie Guan Yin with a hint of sea salt, macademia nuts to bring out the butteriness of the oolong, with mallow or squash blossoms to bring a touch of sweetness.
Marshmallow Roasting – Zhen Qu for its malty chocolatey notes, with marshmallow for sweetness, and a little bit of cinnamon for spice.
In The Night Garden – Organic Sparrow Tongue with Jasmine, honeysuckle, and vegan cream flavoring.

I LOVE the name “in the night garden”
Tropical Movie Night sounds DELICIOUS! Sea salt PLEASE! Macadamia nuts OH YES! SQUASH BLOSSOMS OMGee! YUMMY! I think of your three this is my most wanted!
Although Marshmallow Roasting – who could not love that!?!? :)

Thanks :) I didn’t end up gardening this year (aww…) so squash blossoms in tea sound like a good alternative.

Contest #1-Custom Blend (Update)
Thank you so much to everyone for submitting your blend ideas! There were so many amazing blends. We were truly amazed by how creative the ideas we received were. It was so difficult to choose just 10 but the top 10 have been chosen and the creators of those blends have been notified by email. This Wednesday we will add those blends to our website to be voted on. We will be keeping all of the blend ideas, including ones that did not make it to the top 10 and if we at any point decide to use a blend that was submitted we will send out 2 ounces of the tea to the creator and offer special discounts on the blend. Thanks again to everyone that participated.

Azzrian, I’d be curious to see if you actually DO make a custom blend of “Saffron Sesame”.

Azzrian said

Awesome thanks Stacy for running this fun contest! Congrats to all.
It will have to be after the holidays unfortunately – my daughter also turns 18 on the 21st of December so I have to be careful on over spending :)

Congrats to the winners! Nice contest Stacy, it was interesting and fun! I second Rachel about the Saffron Sesame blend, if it will be made.

Azzrian – Curious about the blend too heh you may have a few followers waiting for your blend :)

Azzrian said

Haha maybe Stacy will get enough wanting it she can justify making it anyway :)
I would love to buy an ounce – heck would love to buy the whole blend and share with others! I just have to get bills and holiday / birthday out of the way first. Then I can go for it.
