Just brewed the rest of my Milk Chocolate Caramel, sweetened with stevia and a little 1% milk. Might taste a bit of milk chocolate now — or it might just be wishful thinking on my part.
a little sweetener is nice in this one, I tried it sweet and unsweet and hot and cool, all good :)
steep it a bit longer after each cup. I find I like the second cup the best on almost every tea I tea not just mine. You can steep it longer without getting all the bitterness that tea can give when it’s steeped too long as well as bring out the other flavors more. I find they become much more defined regardless of the tea I am drinking.
I hate that I drank these up before the tasting and have to look at my handwritten notes i write so sloppy lol I couldn’t resist drinking mine up tho they were just really good :)
I didn’t have the power of restraint, Lance tried to warn me but I wasn’t hearing it I was too busy sipping and steeping lol
I always give in and try stuff early so I split it this time—drank the Caramel when it came in, saved the Clove for today!
I was going to do that but after tasting the first one, i had no will power to save the others lol
Chocolate orange is super tasty, I love love love the cinnamon.
ya, it hits you after the subtle smooth taste of the tea. I love the way it comes from behind to add a bit of zest to it.
I’m a little late to the party, but the Milk Chocolate Caramel is very interesting indeed. They come together in a very interesting way, and I’m liking it without too much sweetener. Surprisingly getting some milk/creaminess, which I think lends well to the caramel. Black teas are hit or miss with me so glad to have tried this :)
I’m going to let it cool and see how the flavor changes..
I love the way tea changes with temperature and after every steeping. It’s is like an adventure in every cup. makes it that much more enjoyable for me.
I’m finding with the Cranorange Clove that hot it’s very clove-y, but as it cools the cranberry element really pops. Onto a second cup!
I think that is true with many tea that when it cools the less forward flavors become more present. Spices can be the first impression but then the fruit pops up.
now I want it Iced lol Lance drinks Iced Teas usually, I made him try this one with me and he really enjoyed it too, I think he would like it Iced
I know I posted this here before, but, since you’re doing the tasting now (Or right about now), I thought I’d repost my full-length review of the Milk Chocolate Caramel: http://sororiteasisters.com/2012/09/28/milk-chocolate-caramel-from-steap-shoppe/
Well it’s about that time thank you for all the insightful comments. We love to hear what you think. Your participation is a wonderful addition to our business and we are grateful for it.
Thank you for arranging these! They’re so much fun, really feels like an interactive tea experience.
I put a little honey in with the second steep of the Cranorange Clove and I think this is my favorite of the two! The flavors are a bit milder but not diluted, and I think the orange pops more on this steep than the previous one where the cranberry was more in the forefront. There’s still a hint of nice tartness and the clove is equally strong. In fact, I think it’s a bit stronger this time around (probably since I increased the steep time by a minute). I actually think this one would be really nice iced as well.
Thank you Janet!!!
