I have about $150 worth of tea at my home and work that will last me about 3 years.
oh gawd! If you’re going based on 1 cup per day I’d say enough for about 1000 days, but I drink anywhere between 2 & 4 cups per day. So realistically 500 days.
I should probably start using more leaves per day too :)
I choose not to calculate for my sanity! Lol
hmmmm whats the best way to calculate this?
What I did is – open every bag, compare the amount of leaves to the usual you use in a cup then do a division :) I did say that the estimate is rough :)
That’s too left brained of an activity for me! LOL
In spite of being an English literature major I like doing math, so I had to go figure this out for fun! I drink about 4oz of tea a month, so by my calculations I have roughly 40 days worth of tea on hand.
take a look at my cupboard on the cupboard pictures link, i don’t want to even try to guess or calculate on this one.
Well this is a rough estimate since I am not crazy about math, but including the bagged tea: I have probably close to a year’s worth…at least. And I just did a purge of the Teavana teas that I no longer wanted.
I don’t even know how to make myself part with anything >_<
It wasn’t easy, even with the teas that I just couldn’t stand regardless of what I paired it with. (Like Aztec Fire.)
Several years, and that’s if I don’t re-steep. I way overbought in the past and will never catch up!
have to hit the like on this one i am in the same boat!
I have about enough for maybe two years. and more on the and more on the way. Oh dear…
Since most of my teas can be resteeped all day, I probably have enough for about 2 years if I actually use all my leaves to their fullest potential. That’s what a love for oolong does for you. :) You’d only need 1-2 tsps of leaves a day with a good oolong. But I do like variety so I probably go through 2 -3 different teas a day, not using my tea to the fullest potential. So maybe only enough tea for 1.5 years. If I could manage to stop buying tea that is. I usually manage to hold back for 1 month of so before breaking down and ordering something. :)
