teavivre delivery time

I ordered on Oct. 14th and according to my “tracking” which has only updated once my package is still in China. It’s an actual order not samples, but I don’t mind because I was aware that packages from Teavivre take a while unless you upgrade the shipping. Just think about how excited you will be when it arrives – that’s what I’ve been doing :)

Whoa! I got online this morning after reading this thread last night and checked my tracking on a whim… My package is in my town and should be out for delivery today! That was faster than I actually expected.

Woohoo my very first giawan!!! Someone is planning a tea party tonight…

I placed an order on October 8th, and I received an email saying it was shipped on October 10th. I’m thinking it will take a while to get here though. My sister lives in China, and when we send things, sometimes it takes as little as a couple of weeks, but most of the times it takes a couple of months. Hope the mail system works in your favor, and that you will be enjoying your tea soon.

I got my first two orders really fast, but my last two were held up FOREVER! It think it took about a month, and for a lot of that time they were just sitting in New York! And it was well before the form so that wasn’t the problem. I decided I will pay extra for expedited shipping from them from now on instead of getting the free shipping.

In October, most of the packages we sent out were taking a longer time than before because of our National Day. Also this situation may be happen again because of the Christmas heavy shipping. The process efficiency of the Post Office, Flight and Custom all maybe have some delay because of the heavy shipping. So if you want to receive your package as soon as possible without any delay, here I suggest you can use USPS first class mail shipping method. We beg your understanding of the possibility of the uncontrollable shipping delay.

My order went fine on TeaVivre’s end. I ordered on the 18th, it made it to the S.F. sorting facility on the 23rd. where it sat for 8 days. I finally asked the USPS what the heck was going on and then it made it to Seattle the next day. So I was happy with TeaVivre’s fast service but still wonder why things slowed down so badly here in the US.

I have had many negative experiences with the China Air Post. It usually took about a month for the tea to arrive and all the tracking said was “Origin post is preparing shipment.” My last order I decided the $5.90 was worth it. I RECEIVED THE ORDER IN 7 DAYS! It was amazing. Totally worth the $6 for the peace of mind of knowing where my shipment was, and receiving it quickly. In my opinion the free shipping isn’t worth it.

I totally agree- I had the same experience. Funny enough, I placed a second order a couple weeks after placing my first, and opted for first class mail. I received it before the first order (which is arriving Monday!). I do have to say that I appreciate the detail of TeaVivre’s shipping information page in their FAQ and on their checkout page, though. I wish I would’ve checked it before I placed my first order…

A month later, my Teavivre order has made it into Canada – miraculously, it spent less than 12 hours at customs and will be heading my way from Vancouver on Tuesday. I’m very excited, especially since I lose the rest of my sample of Dragon Pearls. I think I have tea gremlins!!

I first got some samples from them in about 10 days. I then placed an order that took over a month with their free shipping. My account still hasn’t been credited properly for the points they said they would add for the inconvenience. They blamed it on restructuring at USPS. I don’t buy that. That said, I’m tempted to purchase from them again. The Organic Superfine Dragon Well Long Jing Green Tea" was that good. I just won’t expect a prompt delivery.

Moments after posting this, Teavivre responded by correcting my account with them, crediting points, and again apologizing for the delay in my previous shipment. Good on them!

Went ahead and placed that order for over a pound of their Organic Superfine Dragon Well Long Jing Green Tea on the 11th of Nov, expecting to wait weeks for it to be delivered. Even though I was well in the range for free shipping, opted for the low cost paid shipping method and got my order delivered on the 19th. 6 business days, or 8 actual days, I’d say is more than reasonable direct from China! Very pleased.

I will definitely be ordering from Teavivre again. They shipped my package very promptly, and it was held up in New York for the longest time. It was in good condition when it arrived and did not seem to have suffered at all. I guess it was about three or four weeks. My first orders came much faster. In the future, I think I will pay for the expedited shipping unless I am just feeling super patient, which I am rarely am when it comes to tea! LOL! Their jasmine teas have me totally hooked.
