Tea Mixtures, specifically DavidsTea teas

Hey folks,
I’ve just started experimenting with tea mixtures. I have mostly DavidsTea at my place as it has become my favourite tea supplier.

So, I’m wondering what people have mixed together that would make an incredible cup of tea.
So far, I haven’t tried too much. I’ve mixed Teaopia’s (I know this isn’t Davidstea like I’m requesting in the title, but it’s such a good mixture!) S’mores and Forever nuts. (2tsp S’mores, 1tsp Forever Nuts for 16oz) Makes a great S’more flavour with a subtle nutty/cinnamon flavouring. It’s so good. I highly recommend it!

I also tried to mixed Pumpkin Chai and Glitter and Gold together (same measurements as above) but didn’t find the Glitter and Gold to be quite as strong in it as I expected. I think I might have to play around with the quantities.

So, this is where I throw it out to you! What are your favourite DavidsTea mixtures?! I can’t wait to hear/see what everyone thinks and what are popular ones. If you can, please include the mixing ratios and any special steeping times and for how much tea it would make 16oz or 8oz… etc.
Thanks!

I’ve been daydreaming about buttered rum and big apple. but i think big apple might get overpowered.

I do a 3-to-1 ratio of Toasted Marshmellow to Lapsang Souchong to get a true roasted marshmellow flavour to the tea. Same ratio but sub the marshmellow for Oh Canada and you get liquid Maple Bacon.

I do a 50/50 mix of Jade Oolong Chai with Stormy Night, which I prefer to drink vs the teas individually.

I also do my own blends from scratch of whatever straight tea I’m in the mood for at the time, add in some mint of some sort, some lemongrass, lavender, or whatever else I feel like at the time. That way I can add however much of whatever add-in I want, to make it taste the way I want it. You can usually get plain bulk dried lavender at health food stores.

you are an artist. I am trying oh canada and lapsang FIRST THING in the morning. Also the jade chai/stormy sounds amazing as I ALMOST like both of those.

haha thanks, but not so much an artist as I am a tea addict with a thirst for the next new thing. I take what I love and try to figure out how to make it better. It’s a puzzle/game that keeps things interesting! And really, it’s not like I don’t have any teas in my cupboard to experiment with [insert sarcasm here] haha! It truly is an addiction!

Oooh good idea on the Toasted Marshmallow, and I have a bit of Oh Canada left to try that with as well!

I’d seen on their FB page someone blend 50/50 banana oolong and love tea #7 for banana split. It was pretty good.

Even better, they copied everyone’s comments into a note: https://www.facebook.com/DAVIDsTEA/notes

50/50 banana oolong and pineapple oolong = pina colada <3

I just made a mix today and I’m gonna recommend Pumpkin Chai + Ceylon Star. Really nice taste to it. I shall call my concoction either ‘Autumn Night’ or ‘Leaf Pile’.

Any mix recommends for Santa’s Secret?

Is it odd I like Jessie’s Tea with Birthday Cake?

That sounds really good! I’ll have to try that

Birthday Cake is also good with Oh Canada.

When I’m sick I like to mix Cold 911 and Mother’s Little Helper – a bit of cold relief and helps me sleep.

That sounds brilliant.
