What to mix with rooibos

I drink a lot of ginger rooibos right now since i’m sick and also just because i love it and it goes well with my new tea for one tea pot from English tea store :) i would really like to mix tea in it i know i could just do miss and try but since most of my tea are sample i don’t really want to take the chance.

I would really appreciate if some expert ( surely there is some here :P ) can’t give me some suggestion to lower my chance of wasting my tea ( don’t have to be plain tea can be flavored )

A chai rooibos would work quite nicely. Since it already has ginger in it you could put in some cinnamon, cloves and cardamom to finish it off.

If your looking for something simple then add something like lemon to make lemon and ginger rooibos or orange for ginger and orange rooibos.

Just experiment around and you will find something you like :)

In addition to what ch3rryprinc3ss recommended, I love putting a small amount of peppermint leaves with my rooibos. Even ginger peppermint is a tasty combination. If you want to mix a small amount of assam black tea or vanilla flavored black tea to the mix, that would be a good one too. But if you add too much, it might overpower the rooibos.

I find red rooibos is better with sweet or full-bodied teas, but green rooibos is better with floral, citrus, or grassy ones. I LOVE green rooibos with jasmine green/white or lemon myrtle, and red rooibos with a dash of lavender black or a chai.

Lemon and ginger rooibos! When I’m sick i just add grated lemon zest to rooibos. Then I put in a teaspoon of honey and make sure it dissolves in the hot water. It may taste weird at first, but it really helps with a cold.

I will try adding lemon since i like lemon it be a good start. i tend to not add sweet to my tea since i like the taste natural most of the time and always add to much or not enough ( i have a really hard time getting sweet perfectly lol )

Are the samples of loose tea you have herbal, or flavored black tea, or …?

If you’ve got some herbal tisane samples:

rooibos + anything cinnamony
rooibos + anything citrusy
rooibos + anything berry-y
rooibos+ anything chai-y
all = deliciousness!

I also like rooibos (extra strength/more rooibos) steeped extra long + milk and honey if desired. Amazing!

Let us know what worked and PS hope you feel better!

I read roobios is the only tea that can be ran through an expresso machine for making lattes without making it bitter. Going to try this with my pumpkin roobios sometime.
