Collections

I’ve gone through a few phases of collections, but as of now it mostly is tea (ok, this is definitely the largest and most current haha), music, and anything to do with turtles. I love turtles :D.

Yay! Turtles! I collect turtles/tortoises, too! I am picky about that collection, though. Can’t be just any old turtle. Doesn’t matter if it is glass, or a ring, or whatever…it just has to have a very specific look to it. :)

I love almost all of them :) I have figurines, stuffed animals, necklaces, basically whenever one catches my eye and it’s nicely done I want to get it! I really hope I get a turtle teapot for Christmas too! They are just too darn cute :)

Well, besides tea.. I collect books! I used to be crazy about little figurines and trinkets, but I don’t seem to have any more room for them & would much rather have books. :)

I collect anything that has a moose or a squirrel on it! I suppose I collect tea (although the limited shelf-life helps with that), but that collection is more focused on tea tins. I try to get a tin from every country I visit. I still do collect books, but ever since I moved for grad school, I switched over to more ebooks. (I prefer having a physical book in my hands, but I prefer having clothes to wear more :) ) I still do buy books, just not at the same rate as before.

I have an olfactory obsession, I collect anything related to aroma, such as perfumes, Berger Catalytic Lamps and essential oils! That also partially explains my «tea disorder».

I could mention the zillion books I have accumulated over the years, but they don’t really fall under the «collection» or «addiction» category for me cause they are a necessity to my life… that also goes for music (if not for digital, I’d be buried under a tsunami of CD’s! )

I love it… you have an olfactory obsession. Reminds me of me and my brother going “scent” shopping together. We hit up all our favorite “perfume” stores – typically those that sell oils and natural scents – and just smell EVERYTHING, rarely buying anything. Just like window shopping, but for scents. It’s been a while since we’ve done it. I’ll have to remind him it’s time to go again. :) I would LOVE to turn you on to a scent from one of my all-time fave shops – Body Time. Let me know if you’re interested!

Lol, Stephanie, I don’t know about your offer, it’s kind of evil to tempt an addict!! Ok, I confess, I checked them out already, but shipping doesn’t look to friendly for international orders… But I’d still be curious to know about your favorite scent :-)
Scent shopping with your brother sounds like great fun!!

I collect things also, stamps first, then matchbooks, then rocks/stones all of those collections are long lost now I collect Tea and Feelings/Emotions I collect them till I have as much as I can hold then I seem to let them free all at the same time(not good), does that count? But really I recently started collecting the labels off of teas that I drink up, at first I thought I was saving them so that I would know what to buy more of but I saved some too long and now it’s like what are all these labels and baggies for?

I would love to collect antique tea stuff, or show pieces. Unusual shapes for teapots would be really appealing. Miniature stuff, (Like doll houses, villages, etc.) I would also love to collect skelanimals (Though they seem to be going out of style….boo!) Build a Bear stuffed animals….(Well got 1, was a birthday gift from my sweetie 3 years ago. Very tempted to request a gift card for BaB for my b-day this year.
I currently collect knives and swords, (Mostly machine made pieces that are relatively cheap. The most I spent was 130 on a cane sword, then found out a friend had the same sword he got for like 80. Grrr. Saw like 10 more swords and knives at the local trade center that I would love to go back and get. I would love to get an actual Katana, (Though they cost a pretty penny. And I mean the handmade ones, not machine made. Antique ones as well.)
Hmm let’s see, I am kind of interested in those fancy dolls with the porcelain faces and pretty dresses, but if I never get around to collecting those, that is perfectly ok. If I did, I think I wouldn’t want more then maybe 30 of them.
LOL have a misc. collection of arts & crafts supplies-polymer clay-clay,tools to work it, glaze, molds, etc. Scrapbook-papers, cards, stickers, doodads, stamps, ink, paints, markers, etc. Knitting-Yarn, Looms, (big and small) Patterns, books on, etc. Jewelry-beads, pendents, 2 sets of small pliers, books on,etc. Quite a few Art Journal books, Sewing Supplies…..All stuff I am still interested in, but I can’t get at my work area in the basement at the moment, not to mention the fact that it’s freakin’ freeezing down there! And plus I have a bad habit of convincing myself I don’t have enough to start a project, even though with most of that stuff I got enough material to see me thru quite a few projects. Though needing to learn how to do some stuff is a legit concern…like jewelry making….I saved tons of youtube videos on various stuff, but I learn best when someone is actively showing me how, especially when it’s small….I have trouble with spacial thought.

I use to collect pigs.
Now aside from tea I have a large, ever growing collection of tattoos. Nothing quite like wearing your collection.

I’ve been a lip gloss fanatic since I was a kid so that hasn’t ended yet…I don’t mean to COLLECT them per se, but I have accumulated quite a few.

And typically if it glitters I want it, I wish it was more of a collection. My mom is a little girl at heart in that way, and sparkles remind me of her so I love having them around.

oh…and workout tanks. can never have enough!

OH! Glitter? Yes, please! I have a shoebox of nail polish…I would say that at least half is full of glitter. Sparkles on ALL THE THINGS!!! :)

I also don’t mean to “collect” lip balms…but there is one in every corner of the house. All different flavors. :)
