So I have been having a lot of fun creating my own blends from teas I have access to recently. Today I used a Coffee Pu’erh, Red Velvet Cake and about 1 tsp of peppermint and added honey and soy milk and i swear to god it tasted just like a peppermint mocha. Well, ok, not JUST like, but for like 40 calories I’ll take it! Anyone else have any great ideas for blends? I know there was a thread about this a month or two ago but I don’t know if it’s ok to bump old threads.
I’m going to try blending forever nuts and sleigh ride today. Not too adventurous but still exciting.
I mixed (both numi) 1 bag each of Moroccan Mint and Chocolate pu erh teas.
was close to a mint chip flavor. the chocolate pu erh tea stand alone, with milk resembles cocoa.
I love our Milk Black mixed with either our Cherry Pu’erh or Strawberry Pu’erh. The flavors bring me back to childhood even though I was never really a milk drinker.
Teavangelical, I’ve bumped quite a few old threads and no one has mentioned that I shouldn’t or has displayed any annoyance about it.
So far my blends have been either somewhat ok or downright nasty. Usually if 1 or both teas are kind of boring and I want to make it more drinkable.
I’ve blended a little. Like have a little Teasource roasted chestnut with Darjeeling. Or Adding a pinch of lavender with Earl Grey or a tisane like Evening in Missoula.
Last night I decided to try making a cold tea… Cheated by tearing open two bagged teas (Celestial seasoning Sleepytime w/ Sinus relief and Traditional Medicinals Cold relief PM) put in some ginger, whole cloves, anise seed, fennel seed, eucalyptus leaf, chamomile, lavender… Forget what else and put it in a couple DIY drawstring sachets. Tasted ok.
I got some teas I’m thinking mixing, like ETS chocolate with the roasted chestnut, and some Earl Greys that might be fun to mix.
