OT - new Dr. Who episode tonite!
I wouldn’t have known if someone on another forum I frequent (not tea) didn’t post the info. Darn cable company, no advertising or heads up at all. “The Snowmen”, tonight on BBC at 9pm.
It’s the Christmas episode! You should follow Dr. Who/BBC America on Facebook, they have been promoting it for weeks.
Promoting/spoiling, the teaser shot of the new TARDIS interior was fine, the full shot, not necessary!
Don’t do Facebook. Maybe if I tuned into BBC America more often I would have seen some promos for it. However, I have noticed the Dr. Who marathon currently being shown, that should have given me a hint.
I don’t get BBC America :( Got hooked on Dr Who with Rose when it was on Sci-Fi. Now I can’t watch. Enjoy it for me.
Probably the creepiest TV show I have ever seen was an episode of Dr Who, where the bad guys were statues. They had no lines and never moved. It was so cool. My second favorite episode had little children in gas masks running around asking “Are you my mommy?”

You can get it on iTunes. I buy the season pass and that way I get to watch them when they air.
I knew who Clara was right off. But got a little confused when the Doctor mentioned her as “the girl who never dies”. And wasn’t she really a Dalek?
I loved Clara, but as a huge Doctor/River shipper, I reaaaally hope they don’t make this Doctor/Clara romance an ongoing thing. Hmph. Ah well, other than that it was amazing. The Snowmen were fantastically creepy (and I loved Ian McKellan!!!)
I really didn’t like how Oswin/Clara hung off the doctor. He is married, after all. :). Currently not loving the new companion but I was a big fan of he Ponds and River Song so that is to be expected. She can’t be as bad as Martha, right?
HEY NOW WATCH IT. Martha Jones was fierce and flawless. Her crush wouldn’t have been so annoying if the Doctor hadn’t been such an insufferable * in Season 3. (Seriously, Tennant was my /least/ favourite Doctor). :P

The only DT companion I liked was Donna. She was fierce! For me, Rose and Martha were painful. The Doctor Donna was so much fun though :)
I fully agree with you about Martha, Valerie. Tennant was good, but not my favorite. Rose was annoying at times. Not sure what to think of the new companion. I’m pretty sure I’ll like her and the show because it will be awesome regardless :)
I very much liked Martha and Donna, although none of the newer companions can match Leela (4th Doctor) for fierce! Never liked Rose, but that could have mostly been because I was jealous…
I was hoping for River as the new companion; Clara and the writers have their work cut out for them — but the chemistry may just work.
…and now I have a crush on Richard E. Grant.
I have had mixed feelings about most companions, they can all get annoying, but they are our in to the Doctor but so far I like Clara and I think she will be good for the Doctor. We loved the Ponds though we feel they could have been cut a season short, too much dragging. Loved River Song, would be nice to see more of her, but not bothered by other flirting.
My problem with Martha I think is that it was one doctor too many. It seemed like they had to invent things for her to do. As an individual character though she is good but she didn’t fit with David Tennant as well as Rose or Donna. DONNA NOBLE is the best companion so far!! (I wish I had a Doctor Donna action figure… ) However my fave Doctor is David Tennant and fave season is 4 with Catherine Tate (Donna Noble)
I really need to watch more Classic Who. I’ve seen a few episodes with Sarah Jane but not a whole lot more than that.
