www.LoveTea.co - UK based monthly tea subscriptions - what do you think?
Hi,
My wife and I launched a company in the UK a few months ago, LoveTea – we deliver a different single origin loose leaf tea each month. It’s a way for people to discover new teas.
We’d love your feedback on the site and suggestions / comments from the Steepster community.
Website is at: http://www.lovetea.co/
Thanks.
Matthew
Looks interesting and reasonably priced. Do you deliver outside the UK at all, though?
We deliver to Europe for a reasonably priced £3 delivery.
@tperez – good idea, I will add some to the teas page. We’re also looking for some people whi would like to write up some tasting notes of the teas.
I would be very interested and very happy to see you are UK based. I’m just wondering if you could give an example of the types of tea coming up so I know what to expect? :)
@KittyLovesTea – if you look under learn more – we show some of the previous teas we have selected. We have a fantastic 2nd flush darjeeling from Makaibari tea estate this month.
I must be as blind as a bat I didn’t see it the first time. Thank you. Sometime next year I hope to join but at the moment my bank has nothing in it, I’m used to making automated payments via Paypal for tea clubs as I am self employed and have my money there.
It does sound good though :)
@KittyLovesTea thanks for the feedback – I’m glad that you like the idea – if you spread the word, we can arrange a free three month trial for you if three people you refer sign up – they just need to use your email address as the code.
I hope that helps. M
I think it’s a great idea. There aren’t all that many tea suppliers to choose from in the UK, so I’d definetly be interested in signing up. I’ll have a look at your website right away!
Thank you Scheherazade – what do you think of it? Where do you currently buy your teas in the UK?
M
I buy mostly from Adagio, Teapigs, Tea Palace, and Yumchaa. I’ve just recently branched out a little and bought from 52Teas in the US, and Mariage Freres in France, but that’s about the extent of my adventures so far.
I think you’re website looks really good. It’s very clear, the tea descriptions are helpful, and give a flavour of what you might get. I like the time/temparature guidance, too. The only thing I’d really like to see is some photographs of the teas, but I think someone else has already said that. It’s very professional-looking, though, and I’ll seriously consider subscribing in the new year.
52Teas looks good – hopefully we can offer some variety along similar lines to UK customers.
+1 for photographs noted, will add some over the coming days.
Thank you very much for your feedback =)
