Free Ripe Pu Erh. No strings attached.
I went through my overly large stash of ripe pu erh, and decided to give away a slew of old teas in a free lottery. Many of these are not great, but that depends on your taste. It consists of about 15 full size cakes, a few samples, and some mini cakes. Most came from Chawangshop or Puerhshop, but some are from other sources. Most, but not all, are labeled. Most have been sampled to different degrees. I had all of this stored in a pumidor. Vintages range from the early 2000s to the mid 2010s. They tend toward the musty aged side of the flavor spectrum. Some may not have aged well, but some surely have.
I’d like to give these to someone who is relatively new to pu erh, but has tried enough to know they would like these.

Ripe puerh, you say? I probably like the “not great” ripe puerh better than others… the darker and more coffee like, the better. I love ripe puerh but don’t have a ton of it in my cupboard right now. I would love to enter for this, thank you for your generosity, however, if I win, is there any way I could split the winnings with another person? My guess: 58
I do like an earthy ripe Shu. I’m with Tea-sipper in that I’d want to share with others. Is there enough to start a traveling tea box? Might be the best way to share with the largest amount of people and you’d just have to start it. I’d be willing to throw in a sample of my prized Butiki shu blend. My guess: 18
I’ll be doing the beginner packages for puerh that’ll span anywhere from 100-250 people I send sets of raw/ripe to in November… if you want to keep that in mind. I’m always looking for more pu to keep it going.

I’ve been wanting some puerh of my own to drink from instead of just drinking my friend’s puerh or doing tea tasting sessions locally but don’t exactly have the budget for buying some right now. I also if I won would share it.

Wow. What a generous offer, and it sets a great example. If everyone did this with the teas they don’t like, less teas will go to waste!
I do drink a lot of tea, but this is pounds and pounds of tea coming my way!!!
Would anyone be up for a puerh traveling tea box? Maybe expand to all Camelia Senesis teas?
