New member difficulty signing up
I recently recommended a user from the tea subreddit to join Steepster as they wanted a site to post and read tea reviews, but they said they were unable to sign up. Steepster seems to be working fine for me (long time member). Have any other recent members had any trouble signing up? Thanks
My memory is fuzzy, but the issue might be related to a block placed on IP addresses from specific countries to control the flood of spam this site was experiencing a few years ago.

I had exactly the same problem when trying to sign up last over the last two days, I was blocked by Cloudflare when using either my mobile or home internet which both originate in Switzerland. I got around the issue by using a VPN with an end point in the USA, then I was able to register just fine.
