Toronto Tea Festival

Hi Toronto Steepsters! I was just wondering if anyone is going to this Tea Festival thing on February 2nd? I got handed a flyer for it today and was wondering if it was worth the $10 to go. It looks pretty legit!

Here’s the website: http://teafestivaltoronto.com/

Indigobloom is helping out with this…and there were a few people who were maybe thinking of coming up from the US.

If you buy tickets sooner rather than later it’s only 10$. I figure if nothing else, it’s worth checking out since it’s not uber expensive. So that’s a yes for me going :)

Oh, awesome! Maybe I will meet some steepsters there.

I’m sure we can figure out a mini meetup. I’m always happy to meet random internet strangers! :)

This is our first year, but I can tell you that the head organizer also manages the tea sommelier program at George Brown College. Bill is awesome! So it should be an excellent event.
I hope you can make it, as I’d love to meet another Steepsterite!
There is also another event coming up at the Montgomery House, probably in April.

Wow! I’m jealous! Looked to see if there was anything like that in my town and there is not. I did see there is a tea festival in San Francisco, but it has only one vendor listed so far for this year.

Hope you guys have fun and take pictures to share!

Tea Guild! That sounds so gamer dorky and I love it! I want to see people dress up like their favorite teas for the festival. Funny how the term guild has gone from noble to nerdy. :)

LOL I agree. Being a nerd(tea or otherwise) is awesome :P
Can’t promise any costumes, well except for maybe the tea ceremonies

Unfortunetly at this time it’s a little too costly for the bus. Maybe next time.

yssah said

you’d rather buy tea with it eh? ;)

haha I wish that was the case. Waiting on a pay raise that is LONG over due.
