How many different teas do you drink regularly?
And what makes you decide “I want to have this tea now” over the other ones that you have? I now have a green, a black, and a chai and am just curious as to how other people decide which one to drink and when :)
I drink greens during the day (various Japanese only -); oolongs in the afternoon and blacks in the morning. usually finish my day with a genmachia.
pretty boring, but my daily ritual since as long as i can remember.
I almost never drink the same tea with any regularity. I have about 20 teas at work and I switch those out every couple weeks as I get bored. I tend to gravitate toward unflavoured blacks a lot of the time but even then I like to have different ones throughout the day. I do re-steep, but rarely more than once or twice. I guess I get bored easily.
I pick randomly every time and never drink the same one twice. I’m around 60ish varieties in the cupboards currently
what’s interesting is they all have their moment. Some days I just feel like a certain tea. They all seem to get used, just depends on the day and my mood.
I keep about 10 teas at work and 20 in the kitchen with the rest of the stash in boxes upstairs. About half of each group is a “core” that I drink regularly, but I change out the others regularly (eg swapping one oolong for another or replacing samples that I’ve drunk up).
Right now my go to teas are 5 black teas and 1 green tea. I drink the same teas pretty regularly but there are a lot of other teas I will have when I’m in the mood. Right now I’m heavy into black teas but just before this I was heavy into Japanese greens. My 6 go to teas are: Premium Taiwanese Assam (my number 1 go to tea), Mi Xian Black, Taiwanese Wild Mountain Black, Grandpa’s Anytime Tea, Congou Keemun, and Fukamushi Sencha Tenjo. Though lately, I have been adding in our Glenburn Estate Darjeeling a lot.
I am drinking ALL THE TEAS at the moment. Anything I can get my hands on really. I just like trying new things at the moment and they’re all new.
Drinking some blacks, Gielle and Springside at work. After Dinner I usually rotate Margaret’s Hope, Castleton, Namring, Bloomfield, and Ambootia. If I’m thirsty later on in the evening, then Green Rooibos. On the weekends, Taiwanese High Mountain Oolongs. Ocassional some Japanese Greens.
i drink several types of teas in a day, i never know what i’m going to have actually tho sometimes tho do call for certain teas or tea types, Like today is gloomy and raining it’s a dark oolong day :)
