How many different teas do you drink regularly?

I like variety and I have over 60 teas to choose from. I choose whatever tea I’m in the mood for. Usually I go for a black or pu-erh in the morning.

I tend to drink green teas in the morning, switching between dragonwell, sencha and gyokuro depending on my mood. Afternoons are usually reserved for oolongs and black tea and I like to finish my days off with flavored rooibos. Sometimes I’ll flip things around and have my rooibos in the afternoon but mornings always belong to green tea. :)

I usually start my day off with black tea, drink coffee throughout the day and have a cup of rooibos or green tea at night. I have to confess, i’m still more of a coffee fan than a tea fan lol.

If I have to wake up early in the morning, I have English Breakfast or Irish. With dessert I usually have a sweet tea – something candy-like or chocolatey, or Earl Grey. And before I go to bed I drink an herbal tisane or rooibos or honeybush. That’s pretty much it for regularity. Anything goes between breakfast and bedtime.

I generally rotate and/or try random teas throughout the day, but one staple tea which I will always have on hand and drink on a regular basis is Ujinotsuyu’s genmaicha.

I don’t have any routine. Whenever I feel like a drink I walk to the cupboard, shift trough my tins and pick one. I may drink greens in the morings and blacks in the evening and vise versa. I’m not very susceptible to caffeine (and like substances), so I can just choose according to taste regardless of the time of day. During working days I drink mostly blacks at work as they are generally more forgiving with regard to brewing time and temp.

Four that I drink regularly (Lady Grey, Prince of Wales, Yorkshire, and Earl Grey). Since being on Steepster I’ve ventured into flavored teas but discovered I don’t really care for them. I do have a tin of Paris that I partake of, but I’m not sure I’d buy it again. Never have liked herbals, except for lemon/ginger or peppermint – and only when I’m under the weather.

I try to vary things, I got way too many (or maybe not enough) teas and I try to give a chance to vary it. if I have to force myself to even think of finishing a tea then it is better to give it away, but that is not too often. I am finding myself with favorites, coming in moods. Somewhat consistently though I like a rooibos in the evenings during winter, right now my absolute favorites are carpe diem and nil rouge. carpe diem is my first package and won´t be the last, nil rouge is on my 2nd or 3rd 100 grams package.

The only teas I drink regularly would be my morning wake up teas. They include about 5 black teas that I randomly select from. Everything else is based upon my mood, cravings, and what I need to review next. I have a REVIEW NOW basket on my table by my laptop, then a REVIEW SOON box on the floor next to my table, then tucked away are trade samples from other Steepsters that I can review later on but seem to go to when I want a nice surprise.

I never really know what I’ll drink throughout the day. I have so much tea, it’s kind of anyone’s guess. I try to keep the higher caffeine teas toward the morning and afternoon, but if I decide I want one at night I go for it. It’s based on what I’m in the mood for more than anything else. I definately don’t have any set ritual.
