San Fransisco International Tea Festival on Sunday

It’s this Sunday! Just discovered it tonight, hahaha.

General Admission for individuals is $20 (+ticket agency fee). I’m not yet sure about the group rate but I’m guessing it’s cheaper the more people there are in the group :D

There are also small group sessions, some with tasting for an extra $5 each :)

Let me know so we can exchange numbers and meet up!

I might be able to go, but I wouldn’t know until the day of so don’t count me for ticket stuff. I would love to meet up with the group tho if folks are going.

I’m not yet 100% either. It would help a lot if there’s at least one Steepsterite who is definitely going too. Overprotective parents (sighs in exasperation) watch too much SVU. If it is not too much of a hassle to drive/park in SFO, they /might/ go with me haha. All good if they do. More people to share the tea addiction with hahaha.

Make your brother go with you. :) He’s into tea, right? Driving and parking in SF is indeed a hassle, but there are tons of public transit options. Caltrain goes all the way down to Gilroy now and the stop in the city isn’t far from the Ferry Building. I understand the frustration of protective parents and of wanting to protect your children but you are going to study abroad soon, right? Maybe this would be a good exercise for you both in preparation of that?

That sounds fun, but I don’t have the transport.

Haha, we’ll see. You never know who might be up to going there with you from where you are :) You have gone to SF before, right? Try praying for it.

I’m a couple hours south. I’ve gone to SF many times. And I prefer plans.

so plan it out :) if there’s a will, a way may or may not be found ^^’

Nobody I know is going, so that doesn’t work.

I wasn’t able to make it. Trying to pack too much into my visit and had to cut out the festival. I am wondering how it was though. Any reports from attendees?

It was nice..sampled lots of teas and listened to a lecture. I went in by myself but was not lonely at all – tea lovers are so friendly and I easily made friends with a few :) It would have been much nicer to meet a Steepsterite but maybe I made a convert or 2! Haha. Love the Steepster family :D

Found out that there was also a food expo in LA and I think another tea-related event in NY. Maybe that is why there wasn’t an overflow of guests this second year. Last year, I read that it was so full that some couldn’t get in ^^’
