Hang in there, it is all a matter of self discipline and control. I am glad to hear that you actually decided to renounce soda. I have dealt with coffee dependence. I used to consume coffee with very much sugar in it, so I felt I was missing it from time to time. Try to have a pot of tea near you every time you crave for soda. At least for me it worked.

You’ll be fine. Just stick with it. I’m almost done drinking soda… actually pretty much never drink it now that I think about it.

That was the issue for my beau when he quit a few years ago. He craved the carbonation more than anything else.

You could try mineral water with gas instead, for the bubbly cravings!

I think this topic mysteriously just got bumped but I bought I would chime in. Tea helped me kick my soda habit. I still have them on occasion but I don’t drink them like water like I used to.

The secret is stevia, monkfruit, or Agave.

Stevia is completely calorie free but changes the taste of tea, Monkfruit and Agave have much milder changes but have calories.

Add a little and over the course of a month, continually reduce the added sweetener.

Eventually you will find its only needed for extremely bitter teas like gunpowder green.

I still havent figured out how to make that darn tea drinkable without sweetener…
