How Weird Would It Be To Create a _________ Tea?
Thought this might be fun – I know we have done it thru-out the boards in different ways, shapes, and forms…BUT…
How Weird Would It Be To Create a _________ Tea?
Fill in the blank
How Weird Would It Be To Create a SEAWEED Tea?
I’m thinking Seaweed with (Vegan) Brown Sugar and Sea Salt
Sounds awesome! Someone sent us an idea with seaweed for our custom blend contest and they paired it with citrus for an interesting contrast. I’m really thinking about making that blend.
I bought an instant plum tea with seaweed in it the other day. It was strange and tasted more like a broth than a tea.
Stacy – I thought this one might be up your alley! YOU SHOULD TOTALLY DO IT!!!!!!
Cheese tea.
Planted themed teas. (I’m taking astronomy.)
Think I’ve had the Uranus blend. Sorry, someone was bound to say it. I just wanted to be first.
Pluto tea should contain something that is awesome and yet something people take for granted – like vanilla.
<3 Pluto
Mars – rooibos blend with hibscus?
Venus – would need to be something hot like habanero green tea.
TeaEqualsBliss’ seaweed tea would be great for Neptune.
Continuing in my bad taste vein – Jupiter and Saturn are gas giants, so… bean flavored blend!
Mars could also have beet in it, like DT’s Red Velvet Cake (for those who hate hibiscus but like Mars).
Mmm… Martian red velvet cake. Ceres and Eris will have be included in the dwarf planet teas. Mercury would also have to be something hot.
Maybe tea for the sun as well.
Maybe something curry related.. a chai with added curry spices such as garam masala or turmeric. I haven’t seen anything like that.
What about teriyaki tea? Or bbq sauce tea?
Pickle Tea???
Well, there is tea that has been pickeled. Awabancha is fermented tea leaves from Japan.
Hmmm… wonder how that tastes?
I’m talking zesty dill pickle here. Vinegar-y, spicy pickles!
Emily M-Awabancha is pretty interesting. I swapped with Geoffry and he was kind enough to send me a sample. I’m really big into fermented foods so I thought it would be interesting. It smelled a lot more vinegary than it tasted. I was a little worried. Its kind of pickle-y but also there was definitely seaweed notes and something sour-ish and maybe some lemon notes. It was milder than I thought and it was enjoyable.
Wow that tea sounds crazy. I’m really into fermented foods too-my husband makes homemade kimchee and its awesome!
Stephanie-Nice! Mmmmmm, kimchee. I make some fermented foods too. I have an Indian Spiced Cauliflower that is almost ready for me to test out in a couple days.
