I'm a huge nerd.

So, I’ll start off by just posing the question, anyone else realize they do really silly or funny things absentmindedly while preparing/drinking tea?

Mine revolves around my steeper, It’s ‘The Steeper’ from DAVIDsTEA, I mean the thing is just a fun shape to begin with, but, it also comes with this little plastic coaster that’s only marginally bigger then the steeper’s bottom itself. So, I caught myself in a bout of thinking about the old lunar lander PC game and pretending to dock my steeper with the coaster. :| Yes, I know, too nerdy to live. :P

For those unfamiliar with the game, here’s a version of it http://science.discovery.com/games-and-interactives/lunar-lander-game.htm

If you think that’s bad, I’ve gotten into the habit of steeping my teas for 4 minutes and 20 seconds. This is based off of one thing alone. 42 is the answer to life the universe and everything according the “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”. Somehow it got stuck in my brain that the perfect cuppa must be brewed for this long; no more no less. NERDS UNITE!

hahaw wow

Awesome. Does it brew the perfect cup of tea?

i read that white teas steeped at lower temp (160F) at 4mins brings out more flavor :)
