Bobble (Portable Water Filter) Guinea Pig

Hey guys, You might remember my post about portable filters: http://steepster.com/discuss/408-portable-water-filters. I recently came across Bobble http://www.waterbobble.com/ and the nice folks there have offered to send an extra one of their portable water filter bottles for a Steepster member to try.

If you see this fitting into your tea-routine and are willing to write up an honest evaluation of it (just a couple paragraphs), tell us how you’d use it in the comments below and we’ll pick someone end of day.

As a person in a wheelchair… correction… a SHORT person in a wheelchair (3ft 8in) lol! I always used to keep water with me in my pre tea days. Drinking fountains are not always wheelchair/height accessible and I don’t want to pay for water. I have certain medical issues that make it absolutely imparitive that I remain hydrated. Now as a tea drinker, I can see many uses for this- mainly when I travel (which I do a lot). I can picture myself in hotel room making tea before heading out (maybe my beloved matcha) or taking it with me (anywhere, even in my own town) in the hot summer days and throwing some of Muzi’s Stone Ground White tea in my bottle for a cold, white tea version of matcha (since white tea helps lower body temperature).

As someone who always drinks filtered water and never buys bottled water (seriously, what a waste!), I’d use this to a ridiculous degree. When I’m not drinking tea, I’m generally drinking water about 90% of the time. I have, in fact, had people make fun of me for the amount of water I drink. Hey, there are worse reasons to have people make fun of you! ;)

I’d definitely be happy to write an honest review of it, too. I can say it’s a great idea, and also rather aesthetically appealing from the webpage. Hopefully it works as good as it looks.

I agree Janni, I drink filtered water out of necessity… not just to make my tea taste better- our well has arsenic and lead it in, and currently use Adagio’s graviTEA.

I grew up drinking well water, too…water filtration was an absolute necessity. Currently I use one of the old-school Brita pitchers. Constantly refilling it, too. :)

As a new mom who is nursing, I’m constantly drinking water. Would love to give this a try. I usually use a britta to filter my tea water. I’d also be happy to compare a cup of tea made with my usual filtered water vs. tap vs. made with water that’s been “bobbled”.

Mmm tasty filtered water! I would also be interested in trying this out and offering my feedback. I have been a mystery shopper and product tester for a few companies, so I’ve learned to be very thorough. I think they should consider different users, too – not just one; people would likely use bobbles in different ways, you know?
