I’m in the middle of a random teabag sipdown, I’m tired of them taking up space. Right now it’s Republic of Tea Comfort and Joy, which is a really odd choice seeing that it is 94 today.
Della Terra Teas- Chocolate Pumpkin Pie/ David’s Teas- Pumpkin Chai
DAVIDsTEA – Pink Flamingo/Peppermint Amour
Fragrant Keemun organic tea from Teavivre. A wonderful tea, full of flavor and comfort. One i buy regularly.
Ontario Ice Wine from McQuarries Tea & Coffee Merchants
I enjoyed my second steep better than my first. Initially my first cup was pretty good but it got really bitter by the end of the cup and I had to toss the last little bit. My roommate didn’t like it at all (he got the 3rd steep which just tasted like sugar water to me) – but he did say it tasted like actual Ontario Ice Wine (he’s had it and I haven’t).
Organic uji gyokuro from Yukki-Cha. My first organic gyokuro and I’m really enjoying it. Getting the right brewing time&temperature can be a little tricky but when you do, it rewards you with a wonderful sweet, vegetal flavor. First infusion is excellent, second is good, and third is okay..like an average sencha. The tea was harvested just a few months ago and the aroma of the fresh tea leaves is amazing.
Tokyo Genmaicha… Still sipping on.
My 3rd brew since the morning some 5 hours ago when I started.
Be brewing some bedok block #66 “teh” powder my brother brought me after.
Just have that cravings for some home memories…
After that… Maybe an afternoon nap, a laundry load and maybe some snuggle time with my big pony sized white puppy (great pyr).
Heavens.
Banana Tea “Chocolate Cream” from Tea Desire!
A Jin Jun Mei I got from an aliexpress dealer. Funny how this tea can have all the tones of flavour found in the other one I have from the same dealer but can taste so different. The first one is kind of an all day tea, bright fruit and sweet potato at first and ending ( after many steeps )in honey, whereas in this one the bright tones are underneath, a rich raisin and prune infused honey dosed in cocoa and light smoke and pepper (it leaves that kind of honeyed spice in your mouth that you get in an old cedar lined sauna. This one is kind of a warm blanket on a chilly night.
