Currently sipping on.. Laoshan Oolong!! XD

The teas just arrived, and we’ve been tasting, re-tasting and taking pictures for their premiere tomorrow. I still can’t believe we get to be part of such a cool project!

Oh, cool! I’ll have to try that one when it’s available.

I can’t wait to read a description of the flavor. I’m sure I’m going to have to pick some up!

Golden monkey from adagio! Golden monkey in general is my favorite kind of tea and i’m trying to get through my last ounce of it before i buy anymore haha

Anyone have any suggestions for a higher quality golden monkey?

Teavivre is a very good company that has it, I havent personally tried it, but that would be a nice one to try, and Ive been wanting to because I own and love teavanas golden monkey. imagine teavivres is better. also its very affordable.

Teavivre Golden Monkey is indeed better than Teavanas Golden Monkey. In fact the Teavivre Golden Monkey is the best of the 5 that i’ve tried so far. Richer flavor, nicer aroma in the leaf and brewed, and produces a very sound second and third steeping.

+1 for Teavivre’s Golden Monkey thought I haven’t tried Teavana’s.

Oh thank you! I’ve had Teavana’s and obviously Adagio’s and I preferred Teavana’s to be honest. I’ll definitely try Teavivre’s when it’s time to restock!

Teajo’s Silky Earl Grey (which is actually pretty awesome iced.)

I can’t decide what tea to drink tonight, maybe chamomile?

Golden Monkey from Teavivre. Working on drinking through my three teas from there.

I know I should just enjoy it, but as soon as there’s something in the house that I know I won’t be restocking on, I feel like I’m being super pressured to quick get through it.

I’m like that with Christmas chocolate too. I RUSH my way through it so I can go back to eating healthy again instead of taking my time to enjoy it. DX I wonder if this is some form of OCD or something.

Pistachio ice cream by Butiki…mmmm. Need to unwind after busy day at hospital so I’m sipping on this awesome tea

Chizakura said

My unwinding tea is a good white. :) Right now it’s Cantaloupe&Cream from Butiki. Something about greens and whites are very relaxing.

Mmm good idea…I have that one too! Plus less caffeine in white so even better. I was craving a nutty flavour hence my choice of pistachio but next time….I will have cantaloupe and cream:)

I know I’m not going to be able to find the thread right now but it is generally a myth that white tea has less caffeine. If it doesn’t bother you, don’t let it, but it’s not always true. :)

Nitoo6of6 said

Oh no i must do more research then. I read on some sites white had less:( not that some greens or whites have kept me awake at night but I do have the tendency to wake up at weird hours like 2am or 4 am and stay awake so I didn’t want to fuel those sleep disturbances with caffeinated beverages too. Thanks for letting me know:)

A couple of articles from the Internet about caffeine and tea

Interesting stuff!
Thanks Uniquity for bringing this to my attention.

Just finished mowing the lawn (in a heat wave, but it really needed it) so am rewarding myself with Verdant’s Laoshan Black. When that’s done, I’m going to try a new Upton Yunnan.

Yum! Good choice. I wonder how it is iced…

Harney and sons raspberry herbal iced with a little bit of Sonoma lemon syrup and frozen berries added….yum…..a cool night but, so glad to have found an iced tea I like and this has no caffeine…..my first try of harney and sons…..there sure are a lot of teas on their website I would like to try…..

What a coincidence! I’m having my first try of the company too, this evening – Harney & Sons Florence, straight. Also need more tea from them now. (;-;)
Cheers for the good tea we’re having ♫

I was so tempted to make my first harney & sons order…..and they were having a sale! Now the sale is over and no order placed…..sad……where to get this lovely tea in Canada? Chapters has a tiny offering, maybe whole foods? Must get more of this wonderful tea!

Sil select said

harney is typically at chapters and sometimes at williams and sonoma if you have one near. beyond that i haven’t had much luck finding them locally in canada.

Lilysmom said

Thanks Sil…..there is a Williams and Sonoma nearby, I will check them…..I had my cart all loaded up with their lovely things to try….and a sale code…..and I hesitated……oh dopey me…..

Does anyone know if all the Williams and Sonoma stores carry Harney and Sons? I just looked to see if there was 1 nearby, and happily there is, at the same mall that I go to for my Teavana teas, which I am finding somewhat ironic. I’ve been on a tea hiatus but I badly need to replenish some of my Teavana teas, not to mention there are TONS of Harney and Son teas that I’ve been going nuts to try!

Lilysmom said

I went to W and S today! But I am in Canada, and I bet we get less selection here. My WS only had 2 kinds of H&S, Paris and Hot Cinnamon Spice (holy moly, does it smell like cinnamon!). If W&S in Canada has H&S, I bet the US stores do as well. Maybe give them a call and ask?

Adagio’s Black Dragon Pearl, on my third infusion of the final sipdown before I get a new shipment. Relaxing after helping run a music recital this afternoon, and trying to pick out some songs to learn on bass guitar. : )
