It's time for iced tea!

Summer is here and that means (at least for me) iced tea galore. Especially at work where our A/C likes to be wacky. What are some of your favorite to iced and what’s your preferred method?

I made a big batch DT’s Bamboozled this morning for work today. I also like to use the Celestial Seasonings fruit teas for easy iced tea.

I like a fruity iced tea blend myself! I have never cold brewed so I usually hot brew extra strong and add in a bunch of ice and water and chill :)

I like to use fruity teas too, cold brewed! I’ve got some Luscious Watermelon left over from last summer right now that I cold brewed the other day. And if I want just a nice iced black, Upton Tea’s Ceylon/Darjeeling Iced Blend is AWESOME. It’s like $5 for 125g and it’s good made hot first or cold brewed. I actually don’t even remember if I’ve made it hot at first. I’ll have to try that for my next pitcher.

I really like cold brewed oolongs (the dark, roasty kind). Either straight or ones with subtle flavour.
Also any fruity herbal blend, but not a huge fan of hibiscus iced or cold brewed.

I don’t think I’ve ever tried a cold brewed oolong, I may try that. Do you let it go overnight or a specific amount of hours?

I generally do between 12 and 24 hours. Usually just put in fridge overnight and then take it out when I get up in the morning.

I’ll have to try that, Lala! Thanks for the idea.

I also just brew a pitcher of tea and let it cool in the refrigerator. My faves for summer are fruit flavored such as currant or passionfruit.

There are so many different options here. I have always liked good Earl Grey iced tea but have also enjoyed white teas and ceylon teas. In fact, even some of the fruit scented teas like pomegranate oolong are very tasty as well. I tend to pour mine in a pitcher of water or directly over ice. I don’t normally put them in the refrigerator to cool.

Second that Katiek.
I loved brewed and cooled fruity teas.
Currently sipping on a blend with strawberry, apple, rosehip and mint. It’s very delicious.
Sadly, that was the last of it. I am hoping the street market vendor has it again tomorrow.
