A new Dr. Who?? Regeneration in the Christmas episode I hear..
Guess I should post this here, not the tea discussion side: Ah, I was just getting used to Matt Smith. It’s rumored a Ben Daniels will become the new Doctor. I’m not familiar with that many British actors so I had to Google him.
Wasn’t he in Merlin? Maybe he could be a new ally. There are a few other of the Merlin actors I’d like to see in the show, but not as the Doctor.
Other rumors are Damian Lewis and the way to get everyone talking/crying of course is to claim Tennant will come back
I loved David Tennant.
Actually, initially I didn’t, lol, but he grew on me, quickly.
I really didn’t like Matt smith at first, but I’ve gotten used to him.

What do you mean by “how lame”? Sorry if it came across as a deliberate attempt as a spoiler for you. I was merely repeating what I read and the BBC confirmed, so thought it was common knowledge and of interest to some people here. Shmiracles I have no idea what you are talking about.
Sigh… I guess perhaps in the season finale or whatever, this was made pretty clear, but tis still a spoiler for those of us not there yet. Not that I’d expect not to know about this long before I get there, as I’m still on Ten… but still.

I’m not too sure how I feel about this. I loved David Tennant, but after not wanting to watch his last few eps because I didn’t want to say goodbye, I couldn’t even finish his last episode because he was so damned mopey. It was just awful. I suppose if I’d watched it when the news he was leaving was fresh it might have been all right.
I instantly loved Matt Smith, although I didn’t expect to. I didn’t know how I could love another Doctor after watching Tennant in the role. (Sorry Eccleston. :|). But with this in mind, I guess I’m confident that whoever’s the next Who will be someone else I enjoy.

and yes, all of the actors they choose are talented. i’m always besotted.
Matt Smith was my first introduction to Doctor Who and is still my favorite even though I have seen others. I am pretty bummed but am glad I get to see him in the supposedly epic 50th. I don’t look forward to crying like a baby on Christmas though.

My son is a Doctor Who fan, but I don’t know that I could give up such a cool tin if I bought a blend!
Oh no I hope it isn’t Damian Lewis OR this Ben Daniels guy… neither seem right for the role, IMO. I think I would rather it be someone ‘undiscovered’.
I heard on the radio today that Rupert Grint from the Harry Potter movies may be taking over. Just rumours.
