Register a Tea tree for Earth Day with Adagio Teas
Check it: You register with your name and email, and you get ownership of the tree. Once it reaches maturity (three years) you will receive tea from your very own tree. No purchase necessary so if you don’t do it you’re really just missing out.

awesome, thank you for sharing. I am avoiding all sales threads and any other temptations to buy, so I didn’t see it in the other place. :-)
Thank you! I planted mine in India, Assam :) I am hoping it will grow up to be like Thomas Sampson!!
Yeah, this is really cool… You’ll only have to pay shipping when they ship your tea to you after it matures and everything… which isn’t bad at all…
There isn’t a whole bunch of info about it on the site, I’d just like to learn a lot more about this promotion. So I think this thread is nice if anyone has info about this particular promotion.
There was something after you plant the seed that says you will be notified and then “if you continue to nurture it” which I suppose means give money to help the tea plantation (are they plantations? I really don’t know), then it would grow to be a great tree. But that’s just my take on it. Maybe it really is free!
It says “we’ll invite you to cultivate it virtually” so I’m hoping it’s like one of those (in my opinion) dumb FB apps and they don’t mean “virtually… er we mean financially and you’lll need to pay us more money to get your tea”. I definitely don’t care for such games, but I’d do anything (short of paying them money) for tea. :)
I personally don’t have the time to do it today, but someone could ask via live chat or email.
It says “no purchase necessary” which should mean no money for the tree or the tea, though they do reference standard shipping charges for the 4 oz of tea you’re supposed to get if your tree matures.
I went on the site, asked a few ppl, it’s only going to be shipping, no other costs besides that…
Cool, thanks Garrett for asking around! Hope I remember the tree was planted in three years time.
@Meghann M that’s what the ‘continue to nurture’ i think is for…if every x months they remind you you have a tree you’ll remember in year 3 and/or have opted out by then
