I am in agreement with Sweet Canadian. I would love to see this business venture succeed, but being out of country, it doesn’t benefit me much. I think having different contribution levels from very low to very high is a good idea.

Offering things like tea or discounts for smaller contributions, to offering things like naming a tea, creating a custom blend, or spend a day behind the scenes, for larger contributions.

Depending on the cost, what you could do is create a tea blend only available for this campaign. Then people who donate $15-20 could get this tea blend that is not available on your site or with the weekly subscription.

This is one of the best kick starter campaigns for tea that I have seen so far.

Cotton Candy! I’ve tried other versions but your iced tea variety is the best, hands down. Gotta have Pancake Breakfast too. That defines 52 Teas in my opinion – fun, quirky teas you can’t get anywhere else, true-to-their-names taste!

I’d love to feature you on my blog once you get going. Email me! :) [email protected] :)

I think if someone donated a lot, they could have the option of picking which tea they wanted reblended! My favorites (and ratings) have been:

Earl Grey Cheesecake 98
Coconut Banana Cream Pie Hojicha 98
Blueberry Cream Cheese Danish 97
Date Nut Muffin Rooibos 96
Pancake Breakfast 96
Bananas Foster 95
Coconut Cream Pie 95
Almond Happiness 95
Boo Berry Cotton Candy 94
Marshmallow Treat Genmaicha 89
Milk & Cookies 88
…though there are plenty I haven’t tried!

Kinda off subject, but have you considered a traveling tea bar? No idea if the weather in your area would support it, but I’m a big fan of the trailer food movement and think a mobile tea shop could be really cool.

For those who give a small contribution, perhaps a simple % off coupon for a purchase at your online store would suffice. Give $5 get 10% off. Give $10 get 20%. Would that help or hurt overhead/profit/total cost?
