I think NMTC actually changed their shipping. It seems to be a dollar or so now.

Looks still free on the site, and my order last week was free shipping. I was given the option to pay for faster shipping though.

I tried it again. Shows up as First Class- $1.21. Does it have a certain amount now?

thats weird. I just tested just a $4 item in my cart, punched in my Zipcode – and I get the option for free shipping or $1.21 first class.

According to their site, it is still free on every tea order:

“Starting in the summer of 2012 we decided to offer free shipping on all tea orders anywhere in the US.
We make an effort to send out all orders the same day we get them wether free shipping is selected or not, however when free shipping is selected we ship the most inexpensive way possible. Here is a chart to figure out how your package will be shipped if free shipping is selected:

Package Weight:
Under 13oz – USPS First Class
13oz to 2lb – USPS Priority
Over 2lb – USPS Parcel Post

If you should like your light or heavy package to be shipped priority then please select priority at checkout.

If you have an order that has a mix of tea and none tea items, then you will pay shipping based on only the weight of the none tea items."
