NYC Tea Meet-Up- Sunday, September 29th- Bellocq Teas & Taste of France Festival
I just wanted to say it was great meeting all of you gals last night! I had a lot of fun talking to you all! I hope we do follow through and plan another trip!
I’m a bridesmaid in a wedding that weekend and I’m doing a trail run festival the next. How about the weekend of Sept 28-29th?
Agreed! I’d also love to do another meetup – maybe Bosie? Although I’m equally up for something more adventurous. I could do the week of the 15th, any day other than Wednesday. The week of the 22nd would also be good.
I can do Sunday the 29th
That’s a good day for me! Bosie would be ok, but I’m kind of intrigued by the idea of Bellocq now!
I could also do the 29th.
That would work for me. Could we maybe meet at the closest subway station, or some other slightly more central location, and head over together? I suspect I’ll get lost otherwise.
Well we wouldn’t want anyone getting lost among the warehouses! Guess we’re just waiting on Nicole now to see if she can make it.
How about everyone meet at the Greenpoint G stop at noon? Then we can all walk over together.
As it turns out, I can make it after all. Exci-tea-d to meet more Steepsters!
So how was the press tea, how does it actually work?
Works pretty much like an expresso machine (I actually think it was just a slightly modified expresso machine) – high pressure water through tightly compressed tea leaves to increase the strength of the tea.
I can’t make the 29th, but count me in for the next one! I work in the city, so anything in the PM on a weekday is great for me.
On the 28th is an oolong tea class at Palais des Thes SoHo. Come join!
Here! http://www.1000passions.com/en/food-drink/listexpdetails/Discover_the_diversity_of_oolong_tea Just call the SoHo store after you register to confirm.
I’m sitting on the couch here!
Ohh HAH I don’t know why I had it in my calendar for today
Well I’m sorry you had to go by yourself, but did you at least get some good tea out of it? :-)
Yup! It was still a lot of fun- I forget the name of the guy that was there but he was really nice and helpful. I just had the phoneix, which I liked but I don’t think I would get again. I got mulberry leaf, bellocq breakfast, darjeeling flush and noble savage, but I didn’t try those yet.
I came back and my roommates asked “Did you buy MORE tea? When are you going to drink all this?” LOL! :)
