Travelling Tea Box - The Great Canadian Edition (Round 1: Sept 2013) - SUCCESSFULLY completed!
Waiting for the tea box. It is in transit. Stuck in Edmonton. I was hoping to have it for today but that is a definite not gonna happen. The estimated delivery date is Nov. 27 but I hope it can be here sooner than that.
OK so the box is in my city!!!! It will most likely be delivered tomorrow, but I won’t be home. I have a new mailman who is super nice, but he never ever ever leaves any packages if you are not home (I miss Bryan, my old mailman, we had our system worked out for packages). Anyway so I will most likely not be able to pick it up until Tuesday. But I am excited to know it is here.
I know, but I understand why he won’t leave. They technically are not allowed to leave it unless they give it to a person – its a legal issue. But I would be more than OK if he left it for me. I suppose he doesn’t want to get into trouble though, and I don’t want him to either.
It’s been interesting keeping an eye on this tread over the past few months… I’m glad the box has almost made it’s way back to you!
On the topic of leaving boxes… it all really depends on if there’s a safe place to leave it. We’ve often had issues with CP leaving boxes at our door; we’re in a townhouse complex and there’s no sheltered area in which they can put it (unless it’s small enough to fit between the screen door and the main door, which isn’t very often.) All this means that the box (and it’s contents) can be in a sorry state by the time I get home from work.
Hopefully you can get a system worked out with your new mailman soon!
OK guys, for realsies now! I sent the teabox out on Aug. 31/13 and I got it back on Nov. 25/13. When it went out it was in a 14cm x 14cm x 14 cm box and weighed 0.572kg. When it came back it was in a 31cm x 23cm x 13cm and weighed 1.036kg!!!!
THANKS everyone to the huge SUCCESS of this box.

I got lots of tea to drink.
Round 2 has started. Here is a link to the thread.
