I went to see him with his Really Terrible Orchestra and he was absolutely charming. This interview confirms that opinion. Thanks for posting it.

That is very cute. I adore 44 Scotland Street and Corduroy Mansions but Isobel Dalhousie bugged me. I am going to put the first Ladies Detective Agency on hold now. Yay tea and books!

Am I seeing this right? Is that a picture of a white truck on the tin of Precious’ Cup of Comfort Tea?

A truck? It should be a “tiny white van”, or is this a cultural misunderstanding on my part and vans are not the same world wide?

I believe in Botswana a van is what a pick-up truck would be in the U.S. I can’t remember where I read that, but I am a huge fan of the series and have been reading them all along. First I had the imagine of what I’d consider a van while reading about Precious driving…then had to switch mental images and imag a pick-up truck! Ah, what’s in a name…!

Thanks for the info. Now I have to switch my mental image as well. At least now I know there is a difference.
