I am get addicted to Xu Fu Long Ya green tea, but how much green tea shold I drink properly a day?
Of all the tea in the world today, green tea is the most popular one. And due to it health benefits, green tea just continues to gain in popularity. Now, I’ll be truthful here. I’ve never really been fond of green tea before. The green tea I’ve had in various Chinese restaurants and such has been, well, a bit lacking in any sort of distinctive taste or flavor. However, before trying Xu Fu Long Ya green tea, http://www.chineseteaart.com/xu-fu-long-ya-green-tea-p-18.html
I never really had good green tea before. So, when I gave this tea a try, I was quite open minded about it – as I wanted the health benefits of green tea too! However, I am get addicted by its distinctive flavor and taste, and wondering how much green tea I should drink properly a day?
I cannot say I have tried that particular tea before but it looks/sounds nice. I remember reading that you need to drink roughly 6 cups of green tea per day before you really receive the health benefits of it properly. It’s quite a lot really when you think about it but also bear in mind if you drink out of a standard mug then it’s larger than a cup so 6 cups will be roughly 4 mugs of tea.
8 oz of green tea has roughly 30 mg of caffeine. I would recommend restricting caffeine intake to about 200 mg a day ( or 6-7 cups ). As this is the only potentially harmful compound in green tea, you are fine other than that. If you want to drink more, try re-steeping the same leaves (less caffeine) or drinking some decaf after you hit your limit.
